"This hotel is a fantasy novel come to life! The room was fresh, smelling like a book store (my favorite sent) well supplied with amenities and was spotless! Shoot, even the WiFi provided was solid for streaming. We stayed in the king room on the second floor, arriving on a Thursday and had the best time visiting the town for our anniversary. The manager welcomed us immediately, was very welcoming and ready to help us with anything we needed. He even printed out a list of local restaurants recommended in the area. We ate at several of the restaurants listed and loved the eating experience just as much. During February, we had a nice cool wind with sunny skies, driving down the little road to visit the lake was gorgeous. We are disabled, so although the room was on the second floor, having the car so close by made our visits to town easier than being at a larger location. It was especially nice that we could make it up a hill (on crutches no less) to see the lake comfortably on a bench. We hope to come back again soon, it was such a privilege to experience this property and the room is an absolute art."

"Absolutely awesome place! Was a little dim for getting ready for a wedding so i would recommend bringing a light up make up mirror if you need to do glam during your stay. Otherwise its great. The heater that looks like a fireplace is a great touch!"

"I really didn't know what to expect as I booked this room last minute, based on price and availability. Honestly, the setting is really nice...walk up the hill to see the lake. Several deer were grazing when I walked out to look at the lake and showed no fear of people. Rooms are somewhat rustic and have everything you could want. I slept like a baby. Is it the Waldorf Astoria? No, certainly not. But it IS super cute and tranquil. I received a call from Mark while I was traveling and since I was going to be quite late, he was kind enough to check me in over the phone and leave paperwork and keys in the room for me. Super nice and friendly!"
