DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas - Farmers Branch 11611 Luna Road, Farmers Branch, TX 75234

"Do not stay at this hotel! Or should I say, do not attempt to stay here. We booked a hotel room, have the confirmation number. Drive 3 hours at night with a dog who is supposed to have a medical procedure the next morning very early. We arrive, and even though we have the reservation, they have given our room away. The manager on duty says he will make arrangements for us to stay at another one of the Doubletrees (which was farther than the medical ctr but we had no choice). So he gives us a voucher, sends us on our way. We get to the other Doubletree, and that manager had no idea what we were talking about; they did not receive a call or anything to ask if they had a room for us. And they didn't have any rooms available, they were booked. They told us to contact the original booking hotel. We called them instead of making that drive again, and the manager who had been on duty had left, another manager, a woman, said she had just started her shift. She said there was nothing she could do but suggested that we call "in the morning" to speak with another manager. She wasn't even willing to try to remedy the situation, leaving us stranded in Dallas, to try to hunt for a room in the middle of the night, with our dog in tow in the back, with us now 8 hours away from the procedure. I went back in and discussed it with the manager at the Galleria branch, who after hearing the entire story, very kindly found us a room in his booked-to-capacity hotel. This experience with the Farmers Branch location was easily the most horrible hotel experience I have ever had. Avoid them at all costs."

"My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our (staycation? anniversary. It used to be one of our favorites but not anymore. We both work full-time and we're caregivers to our parents. We were excited because we were able to secure help and arrange one night away. We checked in and received our warm cookies. All seemed well. However, after we freshened up for dinner I realized that the toilet handle was barely hanging on. I know about the front desk clerk as we were leaving. I asked them if they could have maintenance fix the toilet handle. Thankfully, they did! Later, in the night I realized that the heat wasn't working well at all. I initially thought that it was taking a while to get warm. Well, it turns out that wasn't the case. I didn't want to pack up everything at 3AM in the morning plus my husband was sleep. The desk clerk told me that they would notify maintenance at 7AM. They said that maintenance was gone for the night. Ok, I have faith that maintenance could fix this so that we could shower in a warm roomnin the A. M. At 7:15AM I called back to check on the status of my work order and was told that maintenance wouldn't be in till 9:00AM. I had never had this issue before. I was tired,sleepy and cold. I was trying to be reasonable and didn't want to take my frustration out on the front desk staff. At 9:10AM when it was apparent that maintenance wasn't coming, I called and asked for another room in order to shower and warm up. It was granted although this option was never offered. We rested for a bit and started getting ready. This issue put a damper on our night away. Afterall, we were supposed to o be able to relax, spend time together and at the very least be comfortable. When I spoke to the front desk clerk as we prepared to leave they offered us to stay another day free.Essentially, the next night free. That was impossible because we didn't have coverage for that night and Monday. We also have not prepared to stay over again. Since this horrible staycation ,I have contacted the 1 800 number several times. I've called and left messages for management. I never received a call back. I called one last time to the 1-800 number and complained yet again. I was given 10,000 points which was not enough for a free night at the hotel. I have stayed at three other hotels under the Hilton umbrella and I still haven't earned a free night. Smh!! When you are given a choice to pick a hotel do not pick this location! You will not know what maintenance issue you will encounter. In addition, shame on them for not fixing the situation. It does matters where you stay"

"We did have some issues with the ac, it was fixed very quickly. The supervisor, Vanessa, was great and Justin at the front desk was super patient and helpful. The food was fantastic! I use that word because I did not expect it from a hotel. My husband ordered a burger medium rare and it actually came out medium rare, he said it was one of the best burgers he has had, I had a quesadilla with brisket and it was huge and tasty. The nachos were loaded with cheese and his club sandwich was great. If I lived there I would go to the restaurant."

"Great hotel! Very clean. The beds are comfortable ,the linens are nice, everything we needed was in the room. And the free cookies were a plus. This is my hotel of chose when I come to Dallas."

"The doubletree hotel always has my heart with their signature cookies, but this one stands out not only with the great location to the airport and access to major highways to quickly get around dallas but because of their amazing service. The front desk staff was so kind even at late hours. Especially Justin who greeted the phone and any member at the front desk with such a pleasant smile. The staff is great, location is extremely clean and nice, and the cookies were perfection as always!"
