Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast on Lake Granbury

"Stayed for a wonderful moms weekend. David and Melissa were so sweet and made us feel right at home. The room was beautiful and we enjoyed walking into town for our meals (other than breakfast) and shopping. The breakfast provided was amazing each morning and the snacks were so good too! I would highly recommend staying here."

"Granbury was the town chosen as the midway meeting point between Amarillo and Houston for the reunitement of long time love. The Blue Heron was chosen out of curiosity for the first Bed and Breakfast experience, no idea what to expect. You can expect to be welcomed by David or Melissa. We were welcomed by Melissa first when we dropped off one of our vehicles so we could tour the town in one car. When we returned to check in we were greeted by David. From the first introductions to them walking us out David and Melissa got the hospitality thing going on!! I personally felt like I was visiting family that let me stay in there home. They were conversational and interested in our reasons for being there. The place was clean, bed was comfortable, and there were little things throughout out that made the stay convenient for forgetful travelers like myself (phone charging station next to the bed). The breakfast was Excellent as well as the cookies!!! Thank you David and Melissa for help making this reconnection a great experience. I believe we will make this an annual visit at the least. - We didn't do much outside because of the extreme weather , so there is a lot more to enjoy - for the next review!!"

"Wow what a beautiful B&B, we stayed for two nights as part of our Texas road trip! The hospitality we had from Melissa and David was amazing and the breakfast was yummy and Melissa accommodated my fussy eating which made me feel at ease! Thank you for the fishing and rick caught a fish and the roping such great memories made. The room with lake view was so nice and the bed was super comfy we slept great!! "My Fiancée and I had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, the grounds are well kept and lovely, and there is even a deck over the water we could spend our time relaxing on. The breakfast Melissa cooked herself was excellent and the company was great. The hosts were accommodating and friendly. Couldn't have been better!"

"We enjoyed everything about our stay. The room with a balcony overlooked Lake Granbury and the beautiful backyard! Our room was beautifully appointed, warm and comfortable. We had a lovely gourmet breakfast prepared by our hosts. The house, built in 1890 still has it original character and beautiful woodwork. The rooms have been updated and are so comfortable. The hosts were charming and friendly. We will definitely visit again!"
