The Queen Isabel Inn is a historic seaside resort located at 300 South Garcia Street in Port Isabel, Texas. As the Rio Grande Valley's oldest seaside resort, we offer clean and well-appointed one and two bedroom suites for guests seeking a sophisticated and peaceful retreat with easy access to the beaches and attractions of South Padre Island.
Recognized as a Texas Historic Landmark and winner of the 2006 Texas Treasure Award, the Queen Isabel Inn was originally built as an exclusive hunting and fishing club in the early 20th century on Laguna Madre Bay at Point Isabel. Situated next to the Rio Grande Railroad depot, it was the first seaside resort in the Rio Grande Valley and remains one of the few historic inns along the South Texas coast.

"Best place I've ever stayed/lived! Owner and all staff, particularly cleaning person, are extremely accommodating. Always made sure I was taken care of. Felt like having family live next door. Definitely recommend as a place to stay/live."
"Absolutely do not stay here!!! Tried giving this place a try despite all the negative reviews. They called 3 times before our check-in time. I'm on vacation and do not like being harassed I would like to relax and enjoy my time! When we arrived the owner was rude and something just seemed weird about him. He demanded to know how many people were going to stay in the room and insisted that there could only be 2 people to a room even though there were more than 2 people in our party he did not care at all! It was so bad that we immediately gave him back the key even though the room was already paid for."
"One of the best hotels I've ever been in!!! Definitely coming back!!! The swimming pool view is one of the best!! I won't rent anywhere else but here. That's for sure!! They provide for almost everything you could ever need here!!"
"Absolutely loved it here! I say yes for 3 days. The owner and staff were top notch hospitality! The view is amazing...right on The water. I went for 3 days of fishing and was so happy I chose here. There is a dock that you can fish from and was able to launch my kayak right in the back at the boat ramp. This put in right at the bridge...perfect spot. The pool and bar was no nice and my room was amazing! It's close to the beach and night life. I traveled alone and felt very safe. The owner called and check up on my travel down to make sure I had no issues. They are great and this has become my number one spot for future fishing trips. I would highly recommend it!!!"
"Me and my mature wife had the misfortune of staying here one night in January while on a business trip. The hotel is absolutely foul, smells like eggs, and the owner is a real knucklehead. Would not recommend staying here under any circumstances."
