"We planned a dinner at Jetts restaurant for my daughter’s birthday and the service was the worst we had ever experienced before! Our waitress was afraid to put in our drink orders with the red head bartender because she said she was in a horrible mood and we were shocked and disappointed to experience that behavior and service, so totally inappropriate and unacceptable!!! I even went up to the bartender to try to get our drinks after waiting for 30+ minutes and she totally ignored me as well! It was humiliating and disgusting! And to add more to the fiasco the chicken nachos were absolutely dry and horrible! We work hard for our money and do not expect anything for free, but we do expect great service, and all we received was disrespect… Its disappointing to experience such a circus atmosphere in that place so never again will we ever dine there!!!"
"I realise it's a historic hotel so it's old but..please look at the photos. For 3 weekday nights (plus a dog) was $918. This is not the bathroom situation I would expect for almost $1,000 (and we were made to switch rooms on the 2nd night for some unknown reason). Also, bring your on food to this town because nothing is open."
"I cannot post on the rooms of the hotel because we did not stay there. It was a beautiful hotel. Everything was neat and clean so we decided to eat at their restaurant. That’s where our nightmare began. We were there at 5 o’clock. That’s when they open up, and nobody was there. They finally let us to a table at 5:15 we ordered a Caesar salad the hamburger which is called a huge double burger for $24 and I had the pistachio crusted steak which was $28 and also was supposed to have a roasted jalapeño pepper sauce on top of it none of that happened They gave us a Caesar salad and used ranch dressing. The hamburger was the size of a normal hamburger. It came out cold, and my pistachio crusted steak was cold. It was horrible and to make matters worse. All they did was take a jalapeño out of the refrigerator and set it up on top of, the steak itself oh by the way it also had mashed potatoes but it didn’t look like mashed potatoes and it certainly didn’t taste like mashed potatoes. Whoever the cook was in the back was probably from a fast food place and didn’t have a clue what he was doing. It was absolutely the worst meal I ever ate. I would never recommend that you eat at this restaurant, stay there enjoy the setting, but go to Alpine to eat your dinner."
"Historic, charming hotel that is impeccably maintained. Loved the courtyard, the fireplace, and the cozy atmosphere. Beds were super comfy and large. The microwave and fridge in the room too. Friendly, understanding and accommodating front desk staff. Great location too, walking distance to galleries, shops, restaurants. We will be back!"
"Fantastic, historic hotel. Great atmosphere. Gorgeous courtyard with a fountain where you can sit and enjoy a drink from the fully stocked bar. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are small (keep in mind that this is a national historic building) but filled with very nice toiletries, thick, absorbent Turkish towels. The Keurig is stocked with delicious, locally roasted coffee- Big Bend Roasters. There is a small refrigerator. The hotel is pet-friendly. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to fantastic restaurants and bars. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. BTW- You might hear a train or a fire truck go by but it’s not a big deal."
