"The person I spoke to was great to get us a site. But the campground was less to be desired. Very small sites. Many live in rv’ers and train horns at night."

"You are surrounded by the Guadalupe mountains here. Small friendly town with several family owned restaurants. Many places are within walking distance of the campground or less than a two mile drive. There's one small grocery store and combo Dollar General/Family Dollar store. There's not much in the way of entertainment around but there is a nice lounge and a hotel bar with good food and a nice atmosphere. The sites were clean and pretty level where we parked. The dog run has no grass inside and made for easy clean up (and easy to see if others didn't clean up) after our dogs. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU WALK, ESPECIALLY WITH YOUR DOGS NEAR THE GRASSY EDGES OF THE SITE. STICKY BURRS EVERWHERE. We had them all in our shoes and more than one got stuck in our dog's foot pads. No damage done but they do hurt and they're a nuisance. In a previous campground there were warnings of them around but here there are not so be on the lookout. WiFi was great the entire stay. We used it to stream and surf the web. No issues."

"Wild West RV Park was a fantastic 2 night stay for us on our way through Texas. The location is accessible for any vehicle/ rig and the spots were spacious, flat and had electric and potable water hookups for any kind of trailer or RV. There was also free wifi which had excellent connectivity in all corners of the grounds. The bathrooms and showers here must have been recently renovated and are meticulously well kept by the owners. The owners were attentive, helpful, and were happy to chat about the local area, give recommendations and make sure we were comfortable during our stay. I would highly recommend this spot of you are passing through the Van Horn area and want a safe, comfortable, and clean place to stay in your RV or pop up camper."

"Needed a place to park on short notice coming back from Thanksgiving. Young man who answered the phone was friendly and positive. Check in was a breeze and when the rig stuck out into the lane... Was told not to worry about it. Wifi was the best we have had in a while. Wife was streaming her shows no problem. Place was clean and we'll maintained. Easy in and out. Had a Good Sam discount and paid 32 bucks and change. The only drawback...and this is totally beyond their control...trains. There were three trains during the night and one of those engineers blew that horn all the way through town. We will stay there again."
