"Rooms are nice. Breakfast had hot orange juice, decaf coffee only, no apple juice, and stale cereal. Coffee is not served all day, there is always hot water but no cocoa packets. They do have vending machines on the 2nd and 3rd floor but they don't take cash only card. They only provide 2 towels per room. The washers and dryers don't work and there is no sign posted. Water pressure is very poor, the in room Jacuzzi took 2 hours to fill up and the handles for temperature are very sensitive. I highly suggest running vinegar or something through the Jacuzzi before using it because it seems housekeeping only wipes them out and doesn't run any cleaning solution through them with the jets on. Front desk hardly speaks English and is hard to understand or explain anything to. The outside door handle you have to lift up to open it. There is only one entrance to the place because they keep the gate on the side locked for whatever reason therefore you have to come in from the interstate and everytime you leave you have to out your way to come back in. The neighborhood surrounding it is full of hoodlums so keep your vehicle locked. Cops and ambulances are constantly in the area so there's lots of sirens but thankfully you can't really hear them when you're in your room. Overall it's a good stay but it's the little things that make all the difference both negatively and positively."
"5 STARS for location. There are literally 8 hotels in a row; so you know the competition is high; which is why I hope my review will be helpful to the owners of the comfort suites hotel as well as the guests who are considering staying at this hotel. I used the filters: fitness room, indoor pool and breakfast included, and I was easily able to find those amenities in the other neighboring hotels. 4 STARS for the Room-room is as described as on website; unfortunately the door was so misaligned that you really had to have the hand strength to move the door lock. I'm grateful that I had my 21 year old son to help me with the door mechanics. 3 STARS for Service-It was 5pm, and even though the check-in girl had only been at work since 3pm; she was acting like she had worked a full shift already and she was just okay. The morning girl was nice and good. 0 STARS for accurate description for "fitness center" and "equipment room"-Website claims they have a fitness center and an equipment room, but the "room is empty and there is no workout equipment", and it's been empty since the hotel's remodeling back in March 2023 (clear misrepresentation). There is an indoor pool, but don't expect it to be heated. Supposedly the heater broke over the Christmas holidays, and couldn't be fixed because the handyman wasn't available during the holidays. Water was colder than the Texas Frio River."
"I reserved a room on line plus called hotel to make sure they saw my comments about traveling with a service dog and needed ground floor. Hotel agent said yes saw them and to drive safely. Upon arriving there was no desk clerk. After 5 minutes I called hotel and requested assistance. A lady in a white sweater with no name tag arrived. Then she had to call her manager several times on her cell phone about my having a service dog. Then demanded proof of being a service dog, had me sign a pet agreement, informed me I would be charged 100.00 for having an undisclosed pet in the room. Another call to manager saying no I wouldn’t be charged. Agent took another 2-3 minutes to find a room to accommodate my having a pet. Once more I said service dog not pet. Couldn’t put me in ground floor with a pet, again I said service dog. Was told breakfast hours but then told my pet couldn’t be in breakfast area, again I said service dog. Ended upstairs in a room with no working phone, microwave had grated cheese in it, floor needed vacuumed, shampoo and lotion were empty, conditioner was not on hook but sitting in tub and had very little in it. Bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. Key was only made for one night on a two night stay. I highly suggest management/owner have a meeting about service dogs and what the federal regulations are on them. Yes I will be reporting the terrible way I was treated for needing a service dog. Without her my life is in jeopardy and to be treated in such a condescending way for having a disability requiring the aid of a service dog was embarrassing and harassment."
"Rooms were clean, comfy beds, and loved it. Breakfast is good, they just need oatmeal and bagels to pair those unused cream cheese. Stayed here most of time for 2 weeks during weekdays but not home game weekend. Very thankful for this place I wish I was there now.(start of 3rd week here.) We were offered a flat rate for the rest of the week elsewhere. (Last week here.) But believe me if I could've I would've went straight back here. It's 5 stars compared to where we're at now. Overall stay ..Awesome! I'd come stay here again whenever I come back this way. Staff is awesome...front desk and housekeeping. Only other thing...is Elevator needs checked/cleaned daily. But besides that...I'd rather be there than here. Thank You! for making our stay here in Lubbock safe and comfortable."
"The only reason I give a 3 star review is because the room was hot. The thermostat is preset so I kept waking up sweaty. Other than that, the room was clean, breakfast good and staff friendly. I would probably stay again if it were a little cooler."
