"Would leave zero stars if possible. Warranty company scheduled them, i took a half day off to accommodate the massive window of time they requested for the appointment, they never showed, wouldn't answer phone. Shameful local business."

"I would give 0 stars if I could. I've now had 2 dealings with Monroe Plumbing, and I don't have any issue with the work performed (replacing some sort of ring on the toilet and installing a water heater). What I do have a problem with surrounds the water heater installation. Monroe was the first to respond to our call when our water heater began leaking. They completed the job that day and I was informed I could pay for the $1,338.05 total via cash, check, or card. I chose card, so they took down my number and other information. A few hours later, the owner called me and stated they "don't accept credit card payments" (really, in 2022?) and asked to come by and pick up a check. No big deal, he comes and picks up the check and cashes it the next day. Over that weekend, my husband noticed that our credit card had also been charged for the full amount (despite them supposedly "not accepting cards"). I called Monroe that following Monday and explained the situation. The owner was very apologetic and assured me that the charge would be refunded as soon as possible. Each day I checked for the refunded amount but found nothing. And each time I called, I was given a different excuse and told they were "very busy." Not too busy to come out of their way and pick up and cash my check, I'd like to point out. I repeatedly pointed out that we were nearing the billing cycle for our card and needed the charge to be removed before then. On one call, he offered to bring us cash so I agreed and explained when we would be at home but he never came. Finally, after about 2 weeks of failed attempts on my part, I had my husband call. My husband offered to come to them and pick up the money to which the owner explained that his secretary had refunded the credit card. Call us crazy, but we didn't trust that. A quick call to the credit card company confirmed that no such refund had been initiated. As a result, I've had to dispute the charge and provide documentation to my credit card company to have the charge removed. I'm still waiting for this matter to be fully resolved. If I'd known this is how the whole thing was going to go down, I would've tolerated a few days without hot water if necessary just so I could deal with a more honest business."

"Our water heater went out and when we called, they came out 20min later!!! I'm giving 3 stars because after they received a post dated check (couldn't pay by card until Monday morning) the owner ignored my calls and text to collect my check after the amount was paid in full. Which was our agreement. I had to put stop payment on my check to make sure it wasn't cashed."

"Long story short - my insurance said he was coming. Waited during the appointment window, he never showed. I called to ask about it, he said "he didn't know what was going on" but that he wasn't doing it and didn't know why my home warranty group set him up for it. While I understand that, and his frustration, a phone call from him when he noticed I had the appointment with him would have been nice (he knew my address and who I was as soon as I began asking so he clearly had previous knowledge of my appointment). He then promptly hung up on me.. All in all, can't speak for his work, but his professionalism is highly lacking."
