"Dr. Gavin and staff were so kind and compassionate with us and our boy Cheetah. After a horrible experience at Advanced Animal Care in Richmond, I sought out Dr. Gavin for her expertise. While the news we received was not what we wanted, Dr. Gavin explained everything and allowed us time to make a decision. They have cutting the best ultra sound on site as well as staff to read the ultrasound and gave us the diagnostics we needed. Once the decision was made, they allowed us to move to a small room with a couch and say our goodbyes. Once ready we were allowed to hold our precious kitty in our arms as he crossed the rainbow bridge. The processed was not rushed, and even after we spent more time with him, until it was time to go and allow them to start the memorial and cremation process. Staff even collected paw prints, pieces of his hair and whiskers to return to us. Unlike other places, staff didn't want a deposit, there was no business talk until after he was gone. It was simply all about the absolute best care possible. I will say that Dr. Gavin is not cheap, you get what you pay for and certainly wish I had been able to see her prior to my earlier emergency clinic. If you want the most knowledgeable and caring internist, seek out Bluegrass Vet Specialists. Missing my boy terribly, though with her help I know we made the right decision."

"My dog was not being himself and didn't seem to be feeling well. I took him here and they immediately took him back for an exam. They told me that he wouldn't make it much longer. They were sympathetic and gave me time to talk about it. I appreciated their honesty when I was contemplating what to do. I took him home but he got worse so I took him back here to be put to sleep. The people were amazing and cared so much for my sweet Jake. They made him very comfortable and gave him lots of snacks, it was the first time I saw him eat in days. They told me to stay as long as I wanted to say goodbye. Even though this was a terrible thing to have to do, the people were warm and comforting. I got his ashes back within a few days. And then a few days later, I got a card in the mail, signed by the employees. These people have truly touched my heart with their kindness towards me and my dog. Thank you so much for your care ❤️"
