"Dr. Ruggles and the entire staff has been exceptional for my horse and I. I took my 2 yo gelding, Clyde, for OCD lesion removal. Dr. Ruggles took the time before and after the surgery, to show me Clyde getting ready and after when he was being bandaged. He also showed me the recovery room where Clyde would wake up and what they do to make sure they are safe when standing up from being anesthetized. Dr. Ruggles and his intern vet were both very helpful and had a great bedside manner. Multiple staff members and other vets stopped to ask me about Clyde while I was watching. All of the staff have been so kind. I am so glad I made the long drive up here (from NC). I would highly recommend Rood and Riddle and Dr. Ruggles!"

"I have had an absolutely terrible experience. Dr. Embly did a PPE on a lower-priced horse, all went well until I needed test results. I called the office, and texted Dr. Embley for test results. Got the radiographs before paying for the horse. However, seven weeks after the horse has been paid for and brought to my farm, Rood & Riddle Lexington ignored emails I sent requesting that they get in touch with me regarding the missing test results. Over $433 of test results (including a $115 charge for overnight shipping) were not shared with me until eight weeks after I paid for the horse. I obviously ordered the tests so I could make a decision about the purchase, since I didn't get results I ended up flying blind on a horse purchase that took up a good chunk of my savings. Many emails, calls and texts were exchanged in week seven, and the only reason they contacted me is because Louann from collections called me to verify that she'd gotten my first email questioning the invoice seven weeks earlier. Nothing was done by the staff until my bill was overdue. I told them I'm happy to pay the bulk of the bill but not the test results that were never shared with me, and they will not work with me at all. They say it's my fault, even though I sent an email questioning the bill the same day it arrived. Absolutely terrible customer service for a non-wealthy horse person. Beware."

"Annie and JP in front office went above and beyond making us feel comfortable while the horse we brought in was having a surgical procedure. We got to see another procedure as well as our horses procedure. The staff in the barn were so helpful and informative. We felt so comfortable leaving her in their hands. The experience showed us there are great people here and they love their jobs. Dr Woodie and his techs were great. Highly recommend"

"Traveled 300 miles with our horse Sadie to be seen. The entire staff was fantastic! Erin was super helpful And Dr Woodie answered all of our questions even when id ask more than once lol. Seriously you couldn't take your horse to any place any better. Id give 10 stars if I could."

"We get our cat meds called in here. Great place with friendly staff. They also have a lot of stuff for dogs. There is an added bonus of the driving tour, ummer months are best for it."
