"I have been a Bank of America customer for decades. I was surprised when, arriving a few minutes late for an appointment, I was cheerfully turned away, even though the bank was completely empty. I’ll be moving my account somewhere else."
"Staff are always friendly and helpful. I have no trouble getting transactions done quickly."
"Kind of wild banking practices, but I suppose that is institutional and not individual to the bank branch itself. I switched an account to them, depositing a hefty sum, and moved all my outgoing expenses to the account as well. Obvious, normal stuff. Well... they put a 30 day hold on the deposits but not the debts... So my account very quickly went negative. Then they charged me a $35 (or maybe it was just $30) overdraft fee. It doesn't make logical sense. If you put a 30 day hold on all money coming in, you HAVE to put the same hold on all money going out. I tried, in person, to explain that concept to an employee, and she genuinely did not understand the concept of a deposit vs. a withdrawal. Wild to me that a bank employee can have less financial literacy than a child, but there it was. Only star is because they were friendly. Edit: Removed the last second star and actually closed my business account today. Worst bank and customer service I have ever dealt with. I opened a business account to move my business stuff to them so I would have all my accounts in the same place. It simply never worked. Payments attempting to come in were rejected, payments that should have gone out had no funds. What a nightmare. In the end it cost me about $4800. What an absolute SCAM."
"Don’t bother… full in incompetents with posted hours that indicate they should be open until 5pm…but they close at 4pm. This is just the last straw far from the first issue… If you need a reliable bank that at least acts like they care, choose elsewhere. Now I have to start the annoying process of changing banks. Truly regret not staying local—"
"They charged an $8 fee to cash their own check, when addressed with branch manager Chris he was rude and refused to waive the fee. Will never do business with BoA again or accept any checks written on their paper."
