"I ordered about 1 semi load of gym equipment for our health club. The day it was supposed to be delivered, I get a call from the driver stating that he can not off load my delivery and I will need to come to Paducah Ky to pick up. Obviously I do not have a truck/trailer/forklift or the time or I would not have paid for shipping in the first place. Keep in mind Paducah is approx. 2hrs from me. I called the company that we bought the gym equipment from (Fray Fitness) and they were shocked that the carrier would accept a load they had no way of unloading. After multiple calls and messages to the R+L Terminal Manager in Paducah Ky, which I still haven't gotten a return call from it is clear that the customer on the delivery end is not their priority. R + L ended up not even delivering, and they hired a 3rd party delivery driver.....and wouldn't you know it....on the 3rd and final delivery attempt, the 3rd party they hired ALSO COULD NOT UNLOAD due to not having a fork lift. I am still baffled about accepting a delivery that you are unable to deliver and then requesting the customer to pick the items up 2hrs away....AND still pay full price for the shipping. Its safe to say I do not feel inclined to use R+L for delivery in the future. This made the fitness company look poor but R+L even worse. At the end of the day, the 3rd party driver unloaded by hand the entire load. Even though Fray Fitness was told by R+L that a forklift would be provided to deliver the product curbside, like i had paid for. Once my product hit Paducah terminal, it took 7 days and a 3rd party driver to complete the delivery. This should be embarrassing for them, and I gladly would have talked to someone if they would return my calls and messages."
"Charge 190 dollars to not deliver my equipment to my house inexperienced or ignorant driver made my son pick 325 pound item on a street the next town over even though we are a farm and have more than enough room for a semi to drive through our 5 acres wouldn't even have to turn around. Called to complain and of course have not received a call back. And in the process my son's back was injured due to the weight of the box he now had to get out of the back of a truck...will never use this carrier again very unprofessional. And horrible customer service they deserve 0 stars"
"Had a great experience, friendly on time delivery, delivery driver went above and beyond to help get my 183lb package where I wanted. Was very nervous about all the crapy reviews. However I recommend and will use again. Thank you for the great service. Will K"
"One star, only because there is no ZERO star option. Stayed home from work all afternoon, as I was told the driver would arrive between 1100-1700. No call from RL Carriers in that window. I finally called them at 1800, only to find (after 15 minutes on hold) the driver had returned to the terminal and did not complete the delivery because "he ran out of time." No solutions offered by the person on the phone. No expected delivery date. No regard for my time they wasted. No customer service. Only after telling the representative this was unacceptable did he offer to see if the terminal had a time blocked to reschedule the delivery. They did not. The only thing the representative could offer was that the terminal might call me in the morning to reschedule for some unknown future date. The only positive thing was that the representative was polite. During the time I was on hold, I had a chance to review the online ratings on Google and other platforms. Wow... Lots of one star reviews that sound exactly like mine. One of the few five stars appears to be from a newly hired employee? So, we're resorting to having our employees leave positive ratings in order to soften the impact of poor customer service ratings? How disappointing. Gone are the days of good customer service and pride in one's work. If you're looking for a freight company, this is NOT the one I would recommend. Pro # I746300934"
"Yeap. Would you like your 1400$ washer dryer left laying like this? Never hire this company! They not only refused to put the washer dryer in the house where it goes!: “can’t come inside” “don’t have an appliance dolly” also refused to open the cardboard box to let me view my item before leaving. Driver said couldn’t bring it in related to “litigation?” (Yea I’ll bet they got plenty “litigation!!) And left their debris and wood pallets in the road in front of my house. I called the company to tell them to come back for the junk they left behind, and how bad their delivery went. and they told me “no they’re yours” (pallets and trash). Was trying to save just under $100! by not ordering from Lowe’s or Home Depot. Now I’ll had have to hire someone to lift my laundry and put it where it goes! and pick up wood pallets from the road. Would you want your senior or disabled family to be treated like this??? No!!! Walmart/3rd party anyone else thinking about hiring these Bholes, take notice"
