"This experience is a joke. We just got home from a “guaranteed” three game tournament. I understand weather is out of anyone’s control but the way they handled the situation today was abysmal. Our team was in the top 10 - gold bracket. There were 21 teams in our 13U age bracket. We had an 8am game delayed due to thunderstorms. The weather cleared at 11am. We received an “email” telling us we were booted from playing and they would only let the top 8 teams play. I get eliminating teams that didn’t qualify for the championship, and we’ve been that team before, but they limited 1 game! They couldn’t shorten all the games by 10 mins to let the entire gold bracket play? People spend a lot of money to travel and of course we spent another night in hotel fees to be told- sorry you aren’t playing. No flexibility, compassion or willingness to make things fair for all."
"What a scam and poorly run tournament. They are all about collecting huge fees and not the experience for the players or families. There was some lighting and rain Sunday morning so games were delayed. They then reduced the number of teams in the championship bracket due to their inability to properly manage the tournament. They could have easily reduced the game times to make up for the delay. They also have turf fields and lights but saving money is more important that doing what is right for the kids. Their communition and policies are beyond pathetic. I would not waste my time or money to ever attend this event again. Furthermore they could not have found a more remote location with nothing to do to build this facilty."
"I'm not sure why they put this place in Elizabethtown. There is absolutely nothing to do there. So if you have downtime during your tournament, you would need to make the 40 mile drive north to Louisville. And if your games are scheduled in a away where you won't have time to get to Louisville, or weather delays the start of your games, then you're just stuck sitting in your hotel room staring at the wall."
"This complex is beautiful! Very well maintained, clean, and perfect for our weekend tournament. Bleacher seating with canopy shades, great concessions, nice bathrooms, and turf fields. The little kids enjoyed the playground that was fenced in; and even had fencing on top so parents didn’t have to worry about wild balls hitting them. Umps were fair and staff was friendly."
"We paid 750$ got two games in on Saturday, came back Sunday morning and they called it off do to lighting, And That’s fine but know this going in you will NOT get a refund you will only get a small credit!!! Also know going in there 3gg is two pool play games and if you are not in the top 45% of the teams in seeding you play a consolation game and go home. There is no silver and gold brackets. Communication is horrible. But I will say the fields are nice. But don’t waste your money, this Ripken experience is not like pigeon Forge Or Myrtle Beach."
