About the Oral History Commission
The Oral History Commission, located at 100 West Broadway Street in Frankfort, Kentucky, is dedicated to preserving and documenting the stories and experiences of individuals through oral history interviews. Established to capture the rich tapestry of Kentucky's history, the commission conducts interviews with a diverse range of people, from community leaders to everyday citizens, in order to create a comprehensive record of the state's past. By collecting and archiving these personal narratives, the Oral History Commission aims to provide future generations with a deeper understanding of Kentucky's cultural heritage and social history.
