"The showroom is big and beautiful. Staffs were polite and provided great service. They have nice furniture there. I haven’t received the piece that I bought. Shipping cost is a bit high for me though. But in general, I was pleased to shop at Star Furniture - Clear Lake area"
"The stores red tag clearance is a good value and their finance options are good. Their sales people are friendly! Their furniture is okay pretty good quality on most things but prices are a little over the top! When it comes to their warranty that was explained to sound worth getting and what I got was a joke from Guardian was told it covered all accidental claims even pet damage was told you had 30 days to report damage once it happened but warranty said 5 days “how ridiculous” which I did in five days. I told Guardian that I wasn’t sure how damage happened. I told them that it might have been from pet but I didn’t think so because it was after a gathering and that it could have been from a buckle of shoe, or a grandchild. They denied my claim telling me they don’t cover pet damage or discoloration of small spots on leather that could have been done from small liquid spills. They also said the decision was final. Which meant don’t reach out to them again. Well I thought the biggest perk of buying the warranty was that I could go back buy something from Star that covered the cost of the warranty so I went that route but I had to buy something that was double the price of the warranty. So essentially it’s just to get you back it the store to spend more money! Apparently I was told they don’t use Guardian any more. But when I bought my furniture I believe I was told the terms of the warranty they carry now and given Guardian. I will never buy another warranty. Can’t trust anything your told and if you get them to pay it’s a fight!"
"You better hope you don’t have any issues because the customer service is absolutely terrible. And I mean world class terrible. Bought a chair that has a defective tilt mechanism. Went to customer service in the store to resolve. They told me to call “customer care”. Strike 1. Customer service isn’t customer service. Customer service is just the cashier. They are there to take your money, not to help you. I called “customer care” and they said I had to schedule an appointment with “quality care”. Strike 2. Customer care doesn’t provide any customer care. They simple handed me off to “quality care,” whatever that is. I know this: quality care is not customer care which is not customer service. These are all different things. So now I wait, hoping that “quality care” calls me within the next 24-48 hours. Then I schedule an appointment. No telling when that will happen. Then, assuming they can’t fix the problem, I’ll have to wait for a replacement. I’m guessing this will take a month. If it happens before that, I’ll be shocked. All this because Star won’t simply exchange the chair for a new one and fix it themselves. I’m stuck with a broken chair in the hopes they can fix it, and if they can’t, I’m at their mercy regarding timeline and delivery. And Star calls this “customer service.” Yeah, I tend to disagree with that assessment."
"Bobby the sales representative has always been professional and always make the experience a breeze. This is the second time I buy from him. Kim the customer service representative solved the small issue I had with the ottoman and I’m getting a new piece delivered this Tuesday. I highly recommend buying furniture at this location. You will leave satisfied and happy."
