"Was referred here about 3 years ago for double hernia surgery, after the surgery I had a long inflammation and pain went back to meet with the doctor he acted like he didn't know me. Every time I see him he said that he didn't remember doing the surgery on me 3 years later I'm still an extreme pain swelling and redness. Have been the other doctors and they do not want to touch another doctor's work. I have been in and out of doctors for the past 3 years since the surgery since he messed me up. He always seemed rude and arrogant, and would not listen to what I would have to say. I've spoke with several people that went there that's had procedures done just to be messed up from the surgery. I've been bounced around for a long time now just to try to get something done talk to a doctor today that told me I need to go back to my original surgeon called to make an appointment to maybe get some help this time and even though I am a former patient they could not see me without having to go get a referral again. Whoever is a little fairy secretary guy is at the front desk he was very rude. Stay away from Sutherland and run as quick as you can he will ruin your life. Now I'm going to have to go out of state just to get somebody to help me because you can't get nobody around here to touch his work."

"Very good surgeon. Has helped me many of times right in the office visit. Instead of having to schedule a surgery time. Kentucky is lucky to have him. He cares about his patients. Staff is very helpful."

"I was in and out of the ER for 4 times for my gall bladder because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Labs and everything looked normal but the HIDA scan showed it was low functioning so my PCP referred me to Dr. Sutherland to see if he’d take it out. I was in agony for two weeks and when I met with Dr. Sutherland on a Monday he said he would take it out for me on Wednesday before he left for vacation. I’m so thankful for him, I don’t understand the bad reviews. I had a great experience, my incisions healed nicely, and he’s super down to earth with great bedside manner. I would definitely recommend him."

"Do NOT take your kids here!!! I was referred to him by my primary doctor. The consult went great but the day of the procedure did not!!! My daughter 11 years old was getting what he said is a cyst removed from her foot. While he was injecting the lidocaine into her foot she started screaming, I could tell she was in a great deal of pain as she started to apologize in-between screams she then started shaking and breaking out in rash. Dr.Sutherland then stopped said she can't do it, (which I was happy about because I was about to ask him to stop) but he took his gloves off and walked straight out the door!!! No nothing! Several adults I've spoken to said the lidocaine hurts bad it isn't just like a normal injecting. He had no compassion for the pain my daughter was in. At this point we were both crying because it broke my heart to see my child have to go thru that. The nurse began to bandage her foot up and keep tring to make her feel better. I then said to the nurse that I would've liked to spoken with Dr.Sutherland before he just walked out to get some kind of explanation of what we do from here?... are we just going to leave it there forever? Which at this point I was ok with, but i just needed an answer.. The nurse was so nice said she would go get him to come talk to us. She come back in just a moment later and said he's on the phone he said he would refer her somewhere else! That she needed a pediatric doctor! You mean he dosent work on children?? Then why did he agree to take her?? I knew that nurse had done alot to help us and was very comforting after this happened and none of this was either of there faults it just the way he acted! Within 30 minutes that wonderful nurse called me with an appointment to a foot and ankle specialist."

"I have had a great experience at Dr.Ryan Sutherland office and would recommend anyone there.I took my 18 year old daughter(Honaleigh Campbell) in for a visit because of a cyst above her butt and she was in great pain. He looked at her and done surgery about a hour and a half later that day.He has a great staff and Emily Reynolds along with the nurses and even the woman at the front desk could not have been more helpful.We still have some time before my daughter is healed but just knowing she has a dr and a staff like this really puts a parents mind at ease.Thank you all again."
