"The hospital has its goods and its bads. The positives first, some of the staff working here are really nice and genuinely want to help. I had a surgery here a while back and I had a good experience with that. The surgeon and his nurses were really nice and helped ease my anxiety as it was my first surgery, and I didn't know what to expect. So the hospital itself is decent. And on to the negatives. The ER here, on the other hand, is just horrible. You will wait there for hours on end. I understand that there are critical cases and those take priority. But an ER wait should not take all day. What really bothered me was seeing an employee working here laughing on Facebook about an elderly man being neglected in the ER and later dying in the hospital. If you need to go to the ER, I'd go to Winchester hospital it has quicker wait times even on the slower times,it doesn't take all day to get seen there. Again, this place has nice people working here, and it is still great to have this hospital in town and nearby."

"11/08/23 went in after a mva complaining about shoulder pain arm numbness and rib pain. Dr did xray and ct scan. We never discussed hitting my head. My records got screwed up. I called and asked them to fix it and they said they couldn’t. After receiving a copy of my records it also said in the very first line that I had abused alcohol. I am an ordained minister and sell life insurance. We never discussed the first thing about alcohol. How can this get put in my records? First it brings a bad light to my ministry second if I went to go by life insurance now it would be a mark toward an ill eating for a policy. I’ve asked for this to be fixed and was told it couldn’t be. If it isn’t a lawyer will be reviewing options of recourse. Not the first bad experience there. I will start going to st Claire in morehead or bypassing this hospital for Winchester of Lexington. Heed my warning readers n"

"Awful experience. Came in for severe stomach and chest pains while pregnant, explained this to the front desk and the nurses weren’t even aware I was pregnant until I told them. No scans on the baby until I asked and waited 3 hours just to be discharged without any answers or test results. Nothing, just a paper about nausea which wasn’t even what I was there for. I can’t even get my test results. I got a voicemail to call back about my test results and when I called back, they directed me to the wrong place 3 times."

"I had a wonderful experience before, during, and after both procedures I've had at CHI Saint Joseph Health. One was back in 2017, and one was a week ago (2023) the nursing staff in the surgical department is AMAZING. Anesthesiologists they were great too. And my doctor was so nice, genuine, and thorough. I'm very happy with my experience. Keep in mind there is good and bad in EVERY hospital. Everyone's experience is different. But not all are bad. And not everyone is wrong. I do highly recommend them if you are having a surgery or a procedure done. They will treat you kindly. ❤️"
