"Very disappointed!! Room was adequate, the best part was the view from our balcony. The food was TERRIBLE. We were having drinks at Charlie's Bar & and asked about Antlers Lodge and they said it was excellent and suggested we try it for dinner. We made the LONG walk over there to find it closed, not happy. Went back to Charlies and ordered food. We returned an order of Nachos TWICE due to being cold. The chicken & cheese were both cold. The waiter was AWSOME, but we had gone from a potential nice dinner to bar food to cold food. My husband was going to be in a meeting until about 3:30 the next day but we had to check out at 11 am. I inquired at the front desk for a place where I could work remotely & they suggested the business center or a vacant meeting room. The next day I discovered the business center was a UPS center with no workspace and there were no vacant meeting rooms that I could find. I went back to the front desk, and they informed me that they could not accommodate me. I could sit int the lobby. I ended up sitting in our vehicle that was parked close enough to the building to get Wi-Fi and I worked from the Vehicle. There was no directory or information in the room to tell us when restaurants were open or where they were located. That would have been nice instead of us roaming around this large property trying to figure out what was open for breakfast or lunch. Not to mention they directed us to self-parking since we didn't want to valet, we had to drag our luggage across a parking lot to the front of the hotel. No one even bothered to open the door. While I was "working in my vehicle" I witnessed everyone doing the same thing. They didn't offer us to drop off our luggage, and apparently, they didn't offer anyone else. I saw countless women dragging their luggage without anyone offering assistance. We left there and went to Embassy Suites for the next few days, and they went out of their way to accommodate us with everything. The room was larger and a much better layout. The grounds were lovely, but I wouldn't go back and stay. It looks tired and worn and doesn't feel like a resort."
"The ambiance is great. The staff was great. The rooms were clean... BUT... The AC couldn't get the room to the designated temperature, even the hallway was cooler. The toilet paper was weaker than tissue paper. There was no microwave. And there were no trash bags in the trash cans."
"Our family has enjoyed staying at this resort, making this place our go to stay when in San Antonio. What makes this place different is the location and employees. The location feels like you are away from the city, it’s quiet and don’t hear the busy freeway, but you are only a few minutes drive from dining and entertainment. The employees have always been very helpful and courteous. But the main difference is the valet department. Any other hotel, most of the times has taken a long time to get your vehicle and also the employees seem happy to be here. They are the one of the first people you see entering the hotel and one of the last, and makes up the atmosphere for your stay. During this last stay Luis was very helpful in accommodating us. We were at a golf tournament and he was understanding to our situation. I also want to mention security, they make you feel welcomed and don’t intimidate you when you come up to a secured gate. Overall, this resort will continue to be our go to stay. Thank you all for making this place welcoming."
"Very comfortable stay at this Hyatt. The grounds were gorgeous, a bit overwhelming at first, but so nice. Restaurants on site were great, we visited the breakfast place in the main building and Antlers. Food was very good. Lots of good options for vegetarians, not so much for Vegans. Loved that the gym was open 24 hrs, loved the smore station at nights, and loved that you can check out bikes on site."
"We had a wonderful 3 night stay here in September 2023. Our 4 year old loved the water park, bikes, park, and activities. The water park is beautifully shaded and not too hot even when it’s 100+ degrees out. Our room was very clean and spacious; not a single issue with anything functioning or in bad shape. We loved that blankets were provided for the nightly movies for the kids. A few quick areas of improvement - it would be great to have kids sized tubes for the lazy River, and more dessert options at the restaurants. Food options near the pool were a bit limited - only one restaurant was open and hours were somewhat limited from 11-7. Would have been nice to order earlier or later since pool hours are 8am-10pm, but you can also order food from inside and have it brought out to you. Service was impeccable across the board. We never had to wait for anything and everyone was so kind and helpful. Dominic helped us with our car and luggage and was especially friendly. We will definitely return in the future for another relaxing stay!"
