Bluegreen Vacations Eilan Hotel and Spa, Ascend Resort Collection 18603 La Cantera Terrace, San Antonio, TX 78256

"Absolutely one of the worst places in Bluegreen. First it started off with them calling my minor child phone to pitch sales stuff to them! So, they tried to tell me they would give me a discount on parking! Owners get discounts already but smoke up the butt is what they do! Talk about blowing smoke up our butt. This place again has lots of potential but they don’t utilize it. Our room looked like it was an abandoned room. There was dust on everything. There were stains on the counter, tables, and door. Everything looked outdated. It also looked as if they pulled furniture from other places in the hotel. It also smelled like mildew when we walked in. The ac kept turning off it made for a terrible night sleep. They will try and sell you stuff even after you tell them no multiple times! It was our anniversary and we told them ,so that meant give us a junky room and with absolutely no view. We had a view of a rooftop and half the parking lot. Oh and annoying color changing light that is on all night. They want your money and you get nothing in return. I woke up on our last day to some dummy standing outside our room talking on the speaker phone. The quality of people here is questionable. Stood in line for 20mins for one person to order Starbucks. They didn’t care that there was a long line of people behind them. This place is in a wonderful location but just isn’t living up to its potential. Very disappointed in this whole stay. The only reason I never said anything while there is because we spent the whole day out of the room we just slept in the room. Don’t waste your time or money here unless your standards are low."

"The hotel is nicely appointed, Comfortable beds, nice showers, good toiletries, etc. However, it seemed like an experiment in how few people could be employed to run a hotel. We waited until after 5:00 pm for our second room to be cleaned, at which point they told us it wouldn't be done so they moved us out of the first room they'd given us (after we'd showered and partially unpacked) and into 2 rooms on another floor. There were no concessions offered for our inconvenience, and although they weren't rude it seemed like it was just the way things are and they were used to it. Tried to go to the restaurant but were told there was only one server."

"Beautiful place in West San Antonio which is very peaceful. Great views being on 10th floor. I don't love that you have to pay $40 a day for valet and they also expect tips. They should be included for that price. Nice restaurants on site and close by. Very comfy mattress. Bathroom is strange....no fan...no way to prop that door open specifically so smell can be strong."

"This was our second time to stay here and again we had such a wonderful experience. The rooms and by far superb and the indoor pool was the children’s favorite of course. Adults can also enjoy the indoor jacuzzi. There is a Starbucks on the 3rd floor and you really get to know your valet as we were in and out several times. They were very kind and kept our vehicle close as we were there for a competition and had to come and go frequently."
