Days Inn by Wyndham San Antonio Splashtown/ATT Center

"As said by many others before me, calling the breakfast a breakfast is so misleading, it's a lie. One of the two cereals was out and even if it wasn't, the milk was empty too, the breakfast pastries had all been taken, and one of the two drinks said it was out of service. We showed up at 6:10 AM. Even the bathrooms said they didn't work (even though it was apparent that employees use it). There were really just 2 slices of bread left either. The tubs didn't have a stopper for a bath. I would rank it lower but after visiting several other hotels in recent times that were FAR worse, this now feels about right."

"I searched for a hotel near the AT&T center and found Days Inn, which was within 2 miles. I chose this location because breakfast was included, and the name seemed trustworthy. However, I didn't feel secure in the room because I had to put a chair against the door to prevent it from opening with just a push. The bed was comfortable, but the carpet was dirty and hadn't been vacuumed. The fixtures and tub were in need of a severe makeover. The dresser had broken drawers, so I couldn't use it. The amenities in the room were workable, except for the cooler, which didn't work. Unfortunately, I put my birthday cake in it to keep it cool, only to find out the next morning that it wasn't working. I was very disappointed with the breakfast. There was no cook, and I noticed that the empty pastry box, which had just been purchased for the guests, was in the trash. The cereal tasted expired, and the bread seemed stale. So, even though I needed to eat something for my trip home, I didn't enjoy the breakfast. It's true that you get what you pay for, so don't expect eggs, waffles, or even a continental breakfast. The service was friendly and kind, but overall, I was disappointed with my stay. Would I consider coming back here again? It's a 50/50."

"DO NOT WASTE THE TIME. Unfortunately I have to give a 1 star in order to give a review. This hotel is AWFUL. We got in from traveling 12 hours with 2 young children, had we not had the already 2 sleeping children and it being after midnight we would have never stayed there. The people working it do not care about the condition or have any concern whatsoever. First, our smoke detector would not stop beeping. I attempted to remove the battery but it didn’t change anything. I went to the front desk he came to the room & had no clue what to even do. The best are very hard & itchy (no bugs but itchy), the bathroom ceiling had mold and water stain and the ceiling fan did not work which led to the entire room being filled with shower steam & the windows covered and dripping condensation. Everything was dirty, outdated, and gross. I went to the front desk this morning to express my concerns and let the guy know I would be checking out as the room was unacceptable, unsafe, and the photos online were deceiving. He said “just bring me your key when you’re checking out”. Don’t waste your time or money here at all."

"The positives ... it's a great location, very quiet, and I felt safe staying there alone. The staff were friendly as well. You get what you pay for so I wasn't expecting a lot being that it was cheap. My one real issue was that it took 3 trips to the office to get a room key that worked then I got locked out on day 2 in the freezing cold and rain because they forget to load the key card for 2 days instead of one. I would still stay here again though."

"Definitely needs updating. The first room had an old AC unit. AC was off prior to arrival.; took a long time to cool down the room. There was a large pit/hole under the carpet that one could easily twist an ankle. The toilet tank would overflow after being flushed. Was given another room late at night and this one had newer equipment. The bathroom door is missing the latch bolt so it can not be closed or locked. The front desk was friendly and quick to assign a new room."
