Hamlet North Apartments

"I've lived here for 5+ years while attending college and it kept getting worse and worse. The apartments have tons of problems; mold, plumbling, electrical, roofing. There are apartments that were destroyed from a fire, but they have not been repaired (despite tenants living next and under them). Instead of spending a little bit of money to pay professionals to fix these problems, the property owner sends his two elderly workers (more like slaves) to fix them. The person who actually owns the property has done very, very little (if anything at all) to improve the property. I can count on one hand the number of times that I have seen this man. It probably had something to do with the numerous vacations that he takes every single year or all the time he spends at the country clubs. The only good thing that this property had going for it, was the two elderly workers (both who are passed their 60's!). They did EVERYTHING on the property. They bend over backwards for their tenants, no matter what the problem was or what time of day it was. Despite working for the owner for more than ten years, they have not had a single day off or have had any vacation time given to them. They have spent money out of their own pockets for the property and have not been repaid a single penny. I would NOT recommend these apartments to anyone."
