"We booked this hotel for my niece's college graduation. Unpacking, there was a strong propane smell in the parking lot. Entering the side door, the smell of cigarette smoke in the hall was unappealing. Even though it was a non smoking hotel. One of our beds had a huge brown stain on the flat sheet. Gross! Thankfully the front desk changed the sheet, but did not give us ease of mind about the cleanliness of the hotel. I saw a dead cricket outside our door. You are NOT allowed to take breakfast to your room, which is incredibly inconvenient. The website said a heated pool, this was not the case. My husband said it was maybe 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Although we heard the front desk attendent tell someone it was 85, which wasn't the case at all. 4 heaters in the pool room, only one worked. It was cold in the room. You couldn't even use your room key to enter. You had to wait for the front desk staff to let you in. Our room felt very small, and dingy. The bed was uncomfortable also. Aside from the staff being willing to change our sheets and letting us eat our dinner in the breakfast area, this hotel was a complete let down. Paying $158 I expected a little bit more. Very disappointed."

"Staff (Andrea) is friendly! However, do not stay in this hotel. I booked this hotel for 2 nights during MSU move in weekend. We have stayed here about 3 years ago and were very happy. That was not the case this time. At arrival we looked at 3 rooms before settling for the one that smelled the least like mildew. Once unpacking in the room, we realized the curtains over the air conditioner were covered in mold and it was also growing up the walls on the left side. Turning on the lamp between the queen beds revealed mold growing on the lampshade. The bathroom ceiling was covered in a large moldy area and the ceiling was coming loose. If it hadn't been 11pm at night we would have left. In the morning we planned to check out early and move to another hotel, however, storms kept us from leaving. We soon learned during the storm why everything smelled like mildew and why mold was prominently growing... the ceiling leaks. This was not a new leak either. A well performing housekeeping and regular maintenance crew would notice the ceiling falling in and the mold growth. Having previously worked as the Sales and Marketing Executive for a large hotel chain, I am familiar with the hospitality industry and the standards that's each hotel brand is directed to uphold. The state that this hotel's rooms are in should be condemned based on the mold growth alone. When I explained to the front desk gentleman in the morning that we were checking out early due to the unhealthy conditions of our room and the leak, he offered no discount or apology. We will not be staying here again and I will not be recommending it to any MSU parents. Learn from our experience and stay clear!"

"I came here when I was visiting Kentucky. The man at the desk was very helpful he held the door for me as I was bringing in my son who is in a wheelchair. The rooms were clean and well-stocked. The pool was nice a little bit cold. The people were friendly I wish I could give them more than five stars. And they had a good breakfast unlike some of the other hotels that claim to have a breakfast. If I come back to this area I will stay there again."
