"Home away from home! Rick, the manager is amazing, as well as friendly. We are enjoying out time here. This was the first week. The second week was horrible! If you choose to tent camp here with dogs, stay away from a corner space. We had issues with kids riding their bikes on the grass, taunting our dogs, which was our fault. There is also a ridiculous amount of people riding golf carts in circles around the campground. Out of boredom? Wanting to be seen? Who knows. Then, if your neighbor doesn't like your dogs, she yells at you as you are in the middle of the road. She has all the rights, because she paid for her spot. Doesn't everyone? Of course she's one of those who leaves her trailer there, not allowing others to rent her site. In my opinion, if you're that bored, go home. Stop taunting the dogs, then complain about it. The bathrooms and showers need a thorough cleaning. Don't pour cleaner in the toilet, and not scrub out the black ring. Ladies, flush the toilet when you are done with your business. No one wants to see what you left behind. The speed limit here is 15 MPH. My husband was nearly hit by a golf cart. I was nearly hit by 2 girls on bikes. Not to mention trucks flying through there with trailers. We left earlier than planned. We got our money back. I know for certain, we will never return."
"We just visited piney for the first time and we will be coming back! This was one of the best campgrounds we have been to. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. There are washer and dryers near the bathrooms along with separate individual showers. The swimming area isn't far and there are playgrounds to keep the kids busy."
"Went here with my boyfriend and his family to go camping around Halloween time. A bunch of kids came by in amazing costumes while we handed out candy. Everyone who camps here is friendly, and many people have dogs, which are all required to be leashed. It's a little on the Caucasian Republican side, so you'll see a few political flags representing a stale cheeto man. The people flying them are surprisingly LGBT and PoC friendly though, so don't expect discrimination if you plan on camping."
"A great place to camp. We stayed a few days at apot#376 on Sweetgum loop. The spot was flat, close to the water, and close to the showers. Blindside back into the spot, but plenty of room for a 40ft. Electric connection, and water just across the street."
"In the past 30 years I have loved in this area, this was my first time coming here. It's an amazing place to camp and spend family time. Boat docks, swimming area's. It's children and golf cart friendly. Bathrooms and showers are clean and air conditioned. Would highly recommend spending some time there. There is day passes for $5 a day. Idk how much it is to rent a cabin but I will definitely be looking into it for next summer."
