"We have been to The Wine Cellar a few times when we were in the area. Tonight we attended a wine tasting class for the wines of Tuscany. What a treat! We arrived early, mainly to have a bite to eat before the tasting. Not a whole lot of food available, so we shared a couple of sandwiches. Not great, but it hit the spot. They need more food selections! The wine tasting event was first class all the way. A Winebow distributor presentation of wines from Tuscany. Very well presented, the wines presented were very good. The presenter offered extensive knowledge of the area and wineries included in the tasting. The Wine Cellar provided a nice space, somewhat small for the number in attendance. There was a cheese and charcuterie plate on each table. Really nice was the fact that the staff opened and poured the reds about one hour before the class started, giving the bold wines a change to open up a bit before the tasting started. All in all a wonderful evening. The wines presented were all very good. The Wine Cellar has a first-class wine list, comprising some of the "best of the best" from around the world... and at reasonable prices too! Recommend The Wine Cellar for a glass, a bottle, or a wine tasting class!"

"We had the best time at the Wine Cellar. We had a group of 14 stop in for a bachelorette/families meeting for the first time celebration. Everyone was so nice. We received great recommendations for some Prosecco and Rosé for our celebration. It was the perfect stop in between activities and to pick up extra bottles for the evening. The selection was great and so were the prices. I cannot wait to return for one of the tastings."

"This is not just a retail shop. This is not just a wine bar. This is the BEST combination of both. All prices are competitive with other retailers, but here you can open up the bottle of wine and drink with no restaurant upcharge, or you can buy wines by the glass. There is a small amount of outdoor seating, bar seating, and various areas of small table seating. There is a limited food menu, perfect for sipping wine. Each week there are special tastings, and a couple of times a month winemakers and wine experts come for educational classes. The bar has a strong following of regulars. They (Okay, WE) are always looking to welcome NEW fans to the fold. The owner (Steven) is knowledgeable about all kinds of wine, and if you don't see it on the shelf, he probably can get it for you anyway! He's happy to do custom orders at ANY price point. If you haven't been and you're in the Lakeway area, you should go. If you're NOT in the Lakeway area it's worth the trip."

"Truly a neighborhood gem. This is a wine lovers bar and shop. The staff is knowledgeable and will work with all styles of taste and levels of knowledge to help you choose a bottle or glass you'll love. There is a broad range of varietals, regions, and price levels to suit anyone. The quality and service are high and the prices competitive. And as an added bonus, it's just a really enjoyable place to sit and sip on wine and enjoy the afternoon or evening. Everyone I've met that frequents the Cellar has been incredibly friendly. "Best place to drink and or find a bottle of wine in Austin. Hands down! Top notch customer service and an extensive wine list to please any wine lover or connoisseur that walks through the door. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that really cares about there customers. I have been coming here for years and I would not want to go anywhere else. Always feel welcomed and it’s almost like a second home to me when I come to the wine cellar. Also don’t miss out on their wine tastings.
