"We've lived in the area for over 12 years. A friend mentioned Lakeway Market and Deli for lunches to go. We were a little suspicious since we always drive up to North Austin for fairly priced, tasty international fare. About a month ago we decided to give LM&D a try. Wow, just WOW! They have a chef in charge of the boxed lunches and he does a great job with a good variety of choices and quality (and a friendly smile). Most lunches come with a protein and two vegetables, plus rice and tortillas. The other two cooks are in charge of the salad choices , and both Mediterranean and Indian foods. We tried those too and they are really, really good. What are the chances? We figure that there are several stars lined up: good management, excellent cooks and fresh, tasty food which is always replenished since the place is pretty busy during lunch hours. Give them a try and we guaranty you will not be disappointed. While there, make sure to say hi to the chef.
