"On a long road trip so needed place that was off the beaten path to spend the night. Thought Paducah looked like a nice little town. Did on line search and found 1857 Guest House. Reviews seemed great. So I booked a stay for a night. Monday night the 16th. Room 201. At first nice room decor. Big shower overhead rain shower. Had to figure out how to work it. No instructions. Cut my foot on one of tiles near drain. Put on my ankle socks (white) with my sleep wear. Waking up I discovered that my foot had bleed a little and the bottom of socks were noticeably dirty, like almost black. Found the shower was dripping all night but since I have bad hearing that didn't matter. I could get it to stop dripping. The coffee area in room has no light to see what you are doing. Would I stay there again. Well yes. But I'd wear socks. Carpet did have some considerable stains."

"2nd time staying in the 1857 guest house. Love the big showers and tub. Beds were comfy and there are extra blankets and pillows. 2 kitchens with supplies so making meals is convenient. Pool table is good entertainment."

"Beautiful place to stay! Paul and Jorge are amazing men to work with. Kind, caring, helpful and just plain NICE. I loved doing business with them. The facility is upscale and clean. Two levels of great space. I highly recommend renting this space. We used it for the bridesmaids to stay together the night before the wedding then kept it for the bride and groom that night. We were extremely satisfied with everything."
