"The person at reception was friendly and helpful. The hallway smelled like strong detergent. It would be better to have a modern TV. The bottom of the tub had rust in it. I didn't feel comfortable using it to take a shower."
"Told front desk no light over bathroom sink said no one on call. Could not give receipt because no ink available and sai d he would email it but didn't give i received one from company for another location since then. Good breakfast room okay."
"This review is for the owner - Unlikely to stay here again. The service was great and the bed was really comfy. Room was clean. Rate was good, but low and behold I'm charged an additional surcharge on top of the agreed upon rate after booking on Comfort Inn's website. When I called to find out why, I was told that not all Comfort Inns charge that, it's a discretionary "surcharge" that an owner can chose to charge if they want. That's not how I do business, sneaky little *non mandatory* charges like that for absolutely nothing. I hope you enjoy the surcharge you got, because it's cost is the price of my business in the future. I make this trip regularly traveling between Kansas and North Carolina. Paducah is my stopover point."
"If your travel plans include staying at this hotel, here’s something I just learned as I checked out this morning. There was a hidden fee applied to my bill. It’s called the “energy surcharge fee.” I’m not opposed to paying it, however, I was not informed of this fee or tax when I made my reservation on CHOICE HOTELS website. I was also not informed when I checked in. This hotels lack of transparency is why I am giving them a one star. Please note the night clerk (Lori) and the staff member making the hot breakfast were fantastic. My one star is for the manager who chooses to include an additional tax above and beyond the Grand Total that was listed on my reservation When I booked the room on CHOICE Hotel’s website I was given a “GRAND TOTAL” which was less than the amount the hotel charged me at Checkout. It’s not a good feeling to book a room under one price and then learn at checkout there is a previously undisclosed charge no matter the amount. Since I have been a CHOICE REWARDS member for many years, this is the first time the price at checkout was MORE than the Grand Total stated on my reservation. An employee I discussed this matter with said the fee “is in the small print.” I looked at my reservation and it is not listed. If this hotel is going to charge this additional tax or fee, it should be up front, stated in the reservation and included in the GRAND TOTAL. As loyal Choice hotel customers, we deserve full disclosure of all taxes and fees at the time the reservation is made. Because I have never encountered this before, I wanted to let you know. Safe travels."
