"My grandson attends Shady Grove Learning Center and the director May West and the management team are amazing. The teachers are so responsive to the needs of each child. The interactions between teachers and children are warm and positive."
"I found this place when I was in dire need of care for my son on select days of the week. Who honestly can afford $800 daycare per week, regardless if the child shows up or not? I was blessed to pay a very affordable rate! The staff were all very friendly and I cannot thank them enough for all they did for my son. He grew up, socialized, and they helped with his potty training. He did so well! Thank you so much Shady Grove for all that you did. I will always remember you all as the place that got my son started on a very solid foundation."
"Not sure how true it is but somehow my son got a bloody nose and one of the teachers told him that if he got any of his blood on her then she would press charges. Sadly this is not the first time that I've been told that kids there were under threat of charges being pressed."
"Being a first time parent I was skeptical about daycare, especially with COVID still being an issue. But this daycare has been amazing. The staff is friendly & compassionate. My daughter used to be very shy and would cry when others would grab her. Since coming here she now waves hello at people and enjoys playing with other kids. I feel comfortable bringing her here. Thank you guys for all you do!"
"At first it was a relief finding a childcare that picked up from my son's school and also took childcare assistance, since we're borderline Grand Prairie and Irving. Most childcare centers try to maximize the amount of kids and minimize the expenses and that is a huge problem. You get what you pay for! I can't say anything negative about Ms. Alisha, it takes a whole team to make something work and she does what she can! I've worked in 5 different licensed chilcare centers and I always take pride in what I do. The problem with this center is that is dirty, some of the teachers speak rudely to the kids, there's a lot of bullying going on and not much is done about it. My son doesn't like going most of the time, he's autistic but usually very happy and friendly. He has come home with lice and ringworm from that carpet in the middle of the classroom and I put it to the test by keeping him home several days and then sent him back with shorts... his legs got worse and very irritated. As soon as I walk in, the place smells bad, I've seen teachers over-ratio and that adds stress to them. I wish childcare owners understood that the problem starts with them."
