Reviews of JN Long Cultural Arts Center
"Great ceramics class to learn wheel throwing. The teacher Carin has over 20 years experience. Learn all aspects of throwing, glazing and firing. All levels are welcome!"
"For a small place serving a large need on a shoestring budget, I think they do an amazing job. Love to walk through the gallery and enjoy their cultural offerings. I suggest their gift shop for one of a kind gifts."
"It's a old building but they keep it very nice and clean. These are a few things they got going on during the 2022 summer and they always have multiple things going on that I never even knew about! Definitely worth checking out! To be a member is definitely worth it."
"This is an OLD school, built in 1915, that has been restored and turned into community arts center. The architecture is fascinating. It is home to two permanent exhibits, one celebrating the railroad history of the city of Cleburne with two HO gage railroad setups, and a museum of wood carving. They also have rooms for temporary exhibits. When we were there one room had an exhibit for miniature art, paintings less than 4" by 5". Quite nice and well executed. The other display room contained the Johnson County Quilt Guild Quilt Show, the reason for our visit. There were a couple dozen really nice quilts, a few made by friends of my wife. A free exhibit well worth viewing."
"This is a nice place and very worth a visit. The interpretive art section was particularly well done. I would be interested to come back and see this again as it changes. I also like the FREE Book Exchange in the lower level. I am always looking for places to donate books and also places to borrow books."
