"Absolutely fantastic!! Staff gave a great tour. If you enjoy history of the fire service make sure you listen to the great history behind each item."
"This was such a great place to take my kids (ages 3, 4, 6 and 7) who are VERY into firefighting/first responders right now. The man who did the tour is a retired history teacher and loves firefighting. He did a great job! They have a staged bedroom area that the kids go in and the guide talks about what to do in case of a fire. They also have a kitchen area with appliances that “smoke” and he talks about fire safety in the kitchen. Then he walks you around and explains the evolution of fire fighting carts/carriages/trucks! The kids got to sit in one and wind the siren. They have a lot of interesting pieces of fire equipment history and I learned a lot but it was also accessible and engaging for the kids. 5/5 stars, highly recommend!"
"This was a fun place for an afternoon with the kids. Our tour guy was very informative."
"Great fire museum! They have a small fire prevention/education area at the front of the building for children. One of the volunteers gave my daughter a tour of all of the old hand pumpers and told her the history of them all. She was enthralled with it all. Recommend for anyone! They offer a discount if you are a firefighter."
"This was the best small museum experience of our 6000+ mile trip. When we came in, a retired firefighter latched on and gave us a grand tour, complete with fire safety education for the kids. Being a car guy and having a soft spot for old fire trucks, I was enamored with the quantity and quality of the machines on exhibit. Highly recommend for kids and adults alike!"
