"I gave birth last week at UMC's Family Birth Center. This was my third baby, but my first to be born in Lubbock. I would've rated my experience at the hospital my first two children were born at as "excellent", but my experience at UMC takes the cake. I was blown away by the incredible care we were provided, and especially impressed by the education provided. That was something my first two births lacked - patient education. I would highly recommend this hospital for any birth, but especially for first-time parents. I wish I would've had the resources and help UMC provided me the first two times around."

And we couldn’t brag enough on our nurses! "They say this birthing center has a high rating but I had a horrible experience here. If you are looking for supportive birthing staff, look somewhere else. I was bullied, lied to, and manipulated during my whole labor. The anesthesiologist was on a power trip and wouldn’t even let my husband in the room for the c-Section. This was my fourth baby so I know how patient are supposed to be treated and they were awful. The only positive was the postpartum staff. They were very wonderful. I am still processing the trauma and abuse from the staff here. Wish I could go back in time and make a different decision."
