"I had high hopes and expectations for my daughter at The Prep, but ultimately was left incredibly disappointed and full of regret. The structure is more traditional, which in retrospect I believe was not a good fit for our 2-year old. Our daughter is kind, well mannered, and helpful at home, while also showing age-appropriate behaviors that you’d expect to see in a 2-3 year old, of which we correct and reinforce good behavior. Notably, we have a large friend group, and our daughter gets along well with these children ranging in ages from 1 thru 7. For whatever reason, however, I kept receiving write up after write up from her teachers and administration that our daughter was unruly and a “safety concern” to the class, as she kept trying to open the classroom door and run out, in addition to hitting, pinching, and spitting. The odd part is that she does not act this way at home, so we were confused and concerned by this seemingly bad behavior at school. Throughout our time there (slightly over a year), we were receptive and understanding and did our best to partner with the teachers and administration, including attending multiple parent teacher conferences. Towards the end, I was receiving calls that we needed to pick up our daughter because, again, she was a “safety concern” and just couldn’t be tamed, which was astounding to me that any of this was happening since her character at home is very different than how things were going at The Prep. At some point, I think any concerned parent would begin to wonder what is happening when your child cries at drop off most mornings while also allegedly not showing the same character that we know and witness daily in our loving and respectful environment at home. I felt anxiety and quite frankly, extreme frustration with The Prep and ultimately my husband and I made the easy decision to unenroll her. While not disclosing where our daughter is attending preschool now, I will say that we see a big difference in the teachers and the curriculum, and our daughter is happy and thriving in a loving environment. Drop off is easy now and she gets lots of outdoor time in addition to classroom time that I believe is appropriate for her age. Also, her new preschool has commented how they’re “lucky to have her” and how friendly she is with her classmates, which is such a drastic change from what we experienced at The Prep. Our experience at The Prep taught me a valuable lesson that we need to listen to our daughter when she is trying to communicate something to us. In my heart, I don’t believe she was happy at The Prep, especially now that I see her smiling and laughing at her new preschool (which happened immediately on her first day). I receive tons of pictures and updates now, so I can see every activity that our daughter is doing, which is a nice change. I have a better feeling that our daughter is now where she needs to be."
"Had two of my kids there full-time for 2 years. 26 kids in a classroom is not good. One teacher and a helper. Staff looks stressed out and unhappy. Heard one star member grumbling under her nose that she was made to stay 30min after her shift but management refused to pay her over-time. It’s babysitting club not learning club. Instead of paying $1,200 per month find a school that does K-4 or K-5 and enrol your kids there. High staff turn over rate, went through so many teachers. There is one old lady teacher, who is visibly unhappy being there and should retire. She appears friendly to the parents but is not nice to the kids. At 5PM the teachers are gone and the kids are left with different temp, young babysitters in a classroom. Overall , not a good experience. I took my kids out, at the end, as my kids became older and more verbal , they told me that the teachers aren’t nice and don’t treat them with care. I switched my kids to Concordia, smaller size classes, better attention and care and the teachers are happy."
"Exceeded all expectations! When it came time to put both my boys in Pre-School, the search was extensive and long. We recently relocated from Ohio and this would be their first time not being under my care, ever. Needless to say I was bit nervous, big changes so close together for anyone is difficult, let alone a 3 & 4 year old. But all concerns where put to rest the moment I walked through their doors. I cannot begin to describe what The PREP means to my boys and me. Their staff goes above and beyond to make every child feel special, welcomed and encouraged to grow at their own pace. My eldest already knows the entire alphabet, can count up to 21, write his name and even knows about programming! The facilities are impeccable, up to date, clean and inviting. Tech room, outdoor garden, splash pad are just some of the many amenities that are offered. Not to mention fun events like Dinosaur Day when even the staff dressed up in costumes and my boys truly thought Jurassic Park was brought to their school for a day. Healthy and balanced lunch menu, is another huge plus, they're both trying new things which is amazing! Etiquette, yoga, Spanish and even practicing dental hygiene by having the kids brush their teeth after meals! I mean could it get any better? In my opinion, yes, it does every day. I see it in my children when they are beyond excited to go to school and cant wait to share all they learned. Not to mention, the security measures put in place are astounding. There are cameras through out the facility and inside the classrooms that parents can monitor on a TV in the parent lounge, which puts me at ease on those days when my youngest is a little upset when saying goodbye. In the end, my kids are thriving, their happy, balanced and in return, I can breathe easy knowing they are in the absolute best hands. Thank you to every single member that is truly making the difference!"
"Great place! Extremely clean, safe, organice, staff with an outstanding professionalism and actitude. My little one is happy to go there. He wakes up asking to go and he is 2.5yrs!!!. Teachers are really into the activities, they follow a plan and if you ( as a parent) have questions or concerns they do care, will listen. One of the most important things as a mom is to watch what my son eats. The menu is healthy and yummy.... and I love the fact they brush their teeth!!! Also uniform helps me a lot with laundy and believe me you will save money in clothes. I highly recommend this place."
