Holiday Inn Express Lexington North-Georgetown, an IHG Hotel

"It was a one night stay. The lobby, halls and elevator were clean. Room was spacious clean. Love the lighting in the bathroom. I did not like that there were no curtains. One big blind. Curtains for more privacy as well as light blocking would have been great. I also did not like the Pancakes. Were not tasty. I hope waffles are considered again or have both pancakes and waffles as an option. Turkey/beef meat would be nice. Everyone does not eat pork. I couldn't eat any of the meats served. There was a variety to choose from I must say. Fruit yogurt , oatmeal, eggs, toasts and bagels. I love that little brown bags were provided for the guests to take food with them. Would I have another stay at this Holiday Inn......YES!!!"

"Everything was clean and safe. It was exactly fine to stay one night, but if I had to stay any longer I would have checked out early and found a new hotel. There was no smoke, which is an immediate deal breaker for me. Although it was clean and safe, it was not comfortable. We booked a king bed, but were given a room with two queens. I asked the front desk and they said they didn’t have any more king beds. I don’t understand why they let me book a king bed if they didn’t have one. I suspect the staff made a mistake and didn’t want to go to the trouble of switching us. The light switches were weird little toggles placed in random spots. When I turned on the switch in the bathroom the light strobed a few times and turned off. I had to turn it off and on again a few times before it just staid on. The shower pressure wasn’t strong, but there was plenty of hot water and I do like the dove soap they have available. The sink in the lobby bathroom didn’t turn on and another guest told me at breakfast that their sink in their room didn’t work, but that’s hearsay. The power strip by the nightstand didn’t work so none of our phones charged and they died in the middle of the night so our alarms didn’t go off. The thermostat didn’t work. It said ERR most of the stay, but around 4am the heat kicked on and it was about 80° in the room. Then when I tried to turn it down it said ERR again."

"Very nice hotel, guest services were kind and helpful. We stayed in room 420 and it was very clean. When we initially walked into our room, the air was very stagnant and musky smelling. But as soon as I got the air running it quickly cleared up. The breakfast area was great and constantly being restocked. I had to turn on the AC through the night since it was pretty warm but as soon as that kicked on, it was a comfortable temp. Bed was comfortable, if I had the thermostat set properly I probably would’ve slept much better. Pool was out of order, which is fine since I had no need for it. Fitness center was very small and could tell it’s not kept up on frequently. The trash was over filling and no clean towels. No disinfecting wipes either to wipe down equipment. Other than the few mishaps, still a solid stay! I would stay here again."

"Excellent customer service with nice clean rooms. When we got up in the morning, the free breakfast was awesome. They had a bit of everything for everyone. The lady serving the breakfast and keeping everything topped up was very nice and pleasant. This was a decent place to stay. My only complaint is the beds. And this is no fault of this particular hotel, it the same in every hotel I've stayed in, but I woke up and my back hurt from the bed. But the excellent customer service and clean room made up for it"

"We were thankful to have booked this room last minute during a long road trip. While our room was large, the floors creaked and felt unstable. We appreciated the layout out of the room and the built-ins. Before checking out, we tried breakfast where everything was cold - omelets, oatmeal, sausage, etc. The coffee was alright. We liked the area, but am not sure we'd want to stay here again without some changes."
