"We had prepaid for the room and they wanted a card for incidentals and it declined my credit card so I had my daughter come to try her card and it declined her card and Amazon cash and then declined the man after us trying to check in. Offered to pay $50 cash for incidentals but they stated they needed a card we started trying to check in at 2230 and it was almost 1 am before we finally got to the room the first employee was rude and just looked at us like we were crazy when it declined my card when it was all there system. The AC in the room was very noisy but the crew that served breakfast was great."
"Let’s start of by saying this embassy is located very close to the highway. It very hard to get to some of the restaurants, if your not driving it hard to get to other places across. The rooms were hard and not much lighting. The breakfast was great and convenient. Bar closes at 11 which was good. No laundry. Happy hour is from 5-630pm. Hot tub and was pool was good. Customer service was great 5/5."
"Stayed here recently. Yes, it’s an older building and there are renovations needed. We actually really enjoyed the nostalgic feel of it. The room was clean, price was perfect, happy hour was amazing, and the free breakfast layout is extensive."
"Great accommodation after being left without a second night room at our first hotel. They were able to get us at the last minute, and we were able to check in before check-in. Was such relief after having to leave our first hotel due to their screw up and worrying about carrying all our luggage all day. Embassy suites were able to check us in before check-in time. I was so grateful. It was a great stay. The only complaint was that the lighting was not so great, the remote to the front TV didn't work, and I didn't see the reason for our room having 3 sinks. Nothing major! They have a great breakfast. Lots to choose from. Eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, frenchtoast, cereals, juice, coffee, and pastries. They have happy hour at the bar. Need a little update, but it was nothing that was bothersome. Still give it a good rating."
"Stayed for 6 nights on a work trip to Austin. The location was quite convenient with about a 20 minute morning commute to the University. Parking is not complimentary but there are ample spaces. Check in process was smooth. I had called ahead to request for a check-in about 1 hour ahead of time and they graciously accommodated my request. However, the room had some issues. They immediately offered me an alternate room, which worked out great for my week long stay. The suites are spacious and well furnished with a lot of premium amenities. Having both a mini refrigerator and a microwave in the room is a basic amenity that somehow gets overlooked in a lot of other places. The only minor gripe was probably that the bathroom was a little cramped, especially with the extremely close placement of the toilet to the shower stall. The complimentary evening reception was great and obviously hugely popular among the guests. The breakfast was excellent too with lot of freshly made continental offerings like scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, etc. The made-to-order omelette station was clearly the cherry on the top. The staff at the breakfast area, the evening reception area and especially the hotel reception were always very cordial and friendly. I had misplaced a water bottle in the evening reception area, and they tried quite hard to help me find it, which I greatly appreciated. The gym was spacious and stocked with adequate exercise equipment. The hotel lounge area was great to have casual meetings with friends/coworkers or just hang out watching a game. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay again during my future Austin trips."
