"My wife and I stayed one night February 17th parking lot lights were to bright light the room up.it sucked. The hotel was very noisy at night.could not sleep left at midnight it was Terrible.went to another hotel. Total peace and quiet."
"First stay here, normally stay in Elgin but this is closer to site, so I decided to try it. Room is nice, it’s brand new, it better be. Most of the problem was with the room I was given. Reserved a king suite, got a double queen. Not a huge deal, call the front desk to get a different room. Get told “It’s no change in price, it will be fine” clearly it’s not just fine or I wouldn’t be calling you. I’d be fine moving down to a regular king room if it’s available, but she’s not willing to do that because it would constitute a price change. Probably won’t come back. In Elgin, I get the room I reserved. In Austin, I get the room I reserved."
"2nd time staying here and a bit disappointed. Check-in was great, the front desk lady was very friendly she remembered me from my last stay over a month ago. Room was clean. This is where it goes downhill, TV doesn't work no wound, the body wash and shampoo bottles broken in shower stall, breakfast was bare minimum no biscuits no milk no boiled eggs. Didn't see anyone attending the breakfast area. Otherwise it's a good location close to dining and retail."
"The previous reviews should be against corporate, not the property. The hotel is brand new so everything is nice. The real gem is the staff. I've stayed at IHGs 65+ nights this year, and the staff was by far the most pleasant & accommodating from the GM down to the trainees. A truly pleasant experience."
"They cancelled our reservation we made months ago for a hotel that apparently wasn’t even opened.. never said that when they were taking my money and now holiday inn won’t do anything other then help us book a room at listed rate, no discount for inconveniences of cancellation at another location or even providing me with the same rate.. we were met with “sorry, but you can book an available room at the listed rate” which will now cost me double! As a “valued member” I will never use Holiday Inn again and take my business elsewhere."
