"Since I moved here. From Minnesota. I can’t understand why all the family dollars look so ghetto here. Once I walked in, and I don’t go to these stores here in San Antonio because of that reason. One thing that I hate about family dollar is they have a policy so the cashier told me that yesterday evening 11/16/23 That they do not have returns money back. We’ll, I wish I knew that before I bought something there. I returned it back yesterday because I bought it on Friday. It was a big white girl with an attitude so I said you know what I want to return it cause it doesn’t work well you can only get the same thing equal to the money that you spent I thought I don’t need that it doesn’t work with iPhone so she would not allow me to get anything else out there from the store that was equal to what I spent there electronic I think that’s a bogus policy that they have ever since Covid well, I went and got a tripod that two was a piece of junk and I showed it to her. She got upset and that is how I beat the freaking policy. I got my money back and I would never go into those stores again. They all look ghetto here in Texas all of them here in San Antonio back in my state Minnesota. They all look clean Family Dollar, Dollar General, and dollar tree I don’t know what’s going on with Texas."
"10/22 around 8 pm my husband went in to get a thermometer for our toddler who is burning up at home. I would give zero stars if I could. Manager in charge Daisy, was completely unprofessional. My husband had to go back 5 minutes after purchasing thermometer because it didn’t turn on. We didn’t get to use it. Should be no big deal to get an exchange for a working thermometer that we paid for so I can monitor my sick toddlers temp through the night. She refused said they don’t take back broken electronics, I get that. But we literally drove right back after opening it and realizing we had a faulty therm. So I had to call speak to her and she was still so rude. A worker answered when I asked to speak to her I could hear her say tell her we are closed. I finally convinced her that we deserve a working thermometer. She said bring it back and hung up. She was then waiting at the door with her hand out when i returned to the store a second time and said if this one doesn’t work I’m not taking it back you need to wait until Tuesday when the main manager is in the store. No apology for the inconvenience of having to come back to the store 2 times while I have a sick toddler burning up at home. no grace or understanding. Daisy needs training on proper customer service and needs to learn some compassion."
"False Advertising! They put SALE STICKERS out with incorrect dates and then REFUSE to honor the price!! Every time I ever go to this store there's always some kind of inconvenience! I stopped shopping here 10 years ago! Now I remember exactly why! Nothing has changed. That's why I always go to DOLLAR GENERAL. I made a big mistake of stopping by here today."
"I found 3 flavors of Gatorade in sport-type bottle, hard to find elsewhere for a great price. No lines, fast cashiers. Well stocked shelves."
"Came here a twice in the last 7 days and both times the same cashier could not get her eyes and hands off her phone. She was on her phone when I got in. She was on it when I got what I needed and walked up to the register. She was looking down on her phone as she was scanning my items. Her hand automatically picked up her phone as soon as she hands me my receipt. The first time I had to correct her that she scanned my item twice when I only had one. She has more eye contact with her phone than with the customers. What's amazing was this was a lady in her 40s I would think and not some young kid."
