"Best mower dealership to deal with on sales, parts, and service. When you call parts you always get someone who knows what they’re talking about or they will find someone who does. They seem to always have what I need in stock from basic service parts down to uncommon engine parts. I’ve had one experience where they didn’t have a part but they ordered it and shipped it to my house and I had it the next day. Every department has polite and knowledgeable employees who want to meet your parts and equipment needs. I live 50 miles from this dealership but I always use them because I can always get what I need and I don’t have to call 20 places to find a part or get an answer."
"I have used Central Equipment for over 17 years for all my mowers, edgers, trimmer's and service and will continue. Always good service."
"Best equipment company in central KY hands down. Their prices are determined largely by the manufacturers at most all dealers. They have an excellent inventory and top quality brands/products. What separates them is they are straight forward and have outstanding customer service. This was my third zero turn purchased from them. Highly recommend."
"This is my third ex mark zero turn I bought my first one in 2006 sold it I bought my next one in 2008. I have used it for 15 years sold it and boat my brand new one I am extremely pleased with this one above all, the others I have owned David my sales person was superior to anybody I have ever dealt with and I will definitely be back and highly recommend. Anybody else that needs any kind of equipment go to Central Equipment."
"(Please see bottom for updated, improved review) Have you ever felt like you were getting swindled? We were having trouble with our Kubota tractor overheating. I called to see if they could come pick it up and service it, and I was told they weren't too busy and could service it quickly. They picked it up the next day. After calling multiple times and speaking to various people in the service department who could never give me a straight answer, we got it back three weeks later (so much for getting to it quickly). The reported problem was the radiator had debris in it. Cleaning that out, doing a basic service, and pick/delivery cost us $1,700+. We mowed our property (about 8 acres of pasture) and a portion of our neighbors' place (maybe 2 acres) which might've totaled 5-6 hours of run time, and the tractor again overheated and wouldn't run well. I called the service department again, and they sent someone out straightaway. He was at our place for all of 5 minutes, only looked under the hood, didn't even bother to crank the thing, and said the issue is a cracked head (something that cannot be visualized from the outside, so he must have X-ray vision), which happens to be about the most expensive repair problem one could dream up and also happens to be most often caused by overheating. So, I sent the tractor in for overheating. They charged me a pretty penny to "fix" the overheating problem. We ran the tractor for 5-6 hours, it overheated again, and now has what amounts to a catastrophic negative result from the overheating issue that they said they had fixed the first time around. It did not seem to register with the service manager that I might be a bit suspicious of the whole situation or that I would have a hard time trusting their abilities or integrity. I'm supposed to just give them more money to come get it, inspect it, etc, etc and trust that they are really here to help me. So far, doing that has left me with $1,700+ fewer dollars, three weeks of no tractor, and now, if the mechanic with X-ray vision is correct, what amounts to a new block and rebuilt engine at a really expensive price. That seems to me like I'm not the one being helped out, but their bottom line sure is. 7/18/2023 I spoke with the service manager, Mason Tackett, at Central Equipment about the issues with the tractor and my perspective. It was a heated, but professional, exchange. They came back out, picked up the tractor, and Mason evaluated it himself. He called me personally to go through the issues he found. There were a number of things that would've totaled a significant amount of money, but the folks there at Central Equipment tried their best to make it right, deducting a significant amount from the price of parts and labor. In the end, I think it was as fair a process as it could've been. Mason personally delivered our tractor yesterday, and it seems to be in good working order. We have not used it to mow, yet, but intend to do so ASAP. I have updated this review from a one-star to a three-star. I am quite pleased with how everything has gone since they came back and picked up the tractor--I would say that has been a five-star experience. However, given the first half of the whole thing was so negative, I can only average the two and round up to a three-star."
