"LOVE Big Bend Stables! Cannot recommend more highly. As an experienced rider who actually does not typically like trail rides, I enjoyed every minute of my sunset ride in Terlingua. The guides were great, the scenery was majestic, but the horses (and mules, like my sweet mount, Tank) were the best part. They're SO well taken care of and clearly all have jobs they enjoy. Each of these animals took such good care of their riders and while everyone else in the group was quite inexperienced, everyone voiced being comfortable and feeling safe. Very much a family friendly adventure too. Cannot wait to come back! Thanks Tank, you're a good boy!"

"Loved our experience with Big Bend Stables! You can bring a carrots or apples for the horses but I would recommend trying to give it before you go out because they go straight to water after the ride. We did the sunset ride and it was the perfect balance of structure and adventure. The guides were very knowledgable about the land and in general just fun to talk to. They gave us tips for the rest of our trip that was really helpful. You could tell they loved what they did and they loved the horses. I’ve done a lot of horseback tours in different countries and this one was my favorite by far."
