Reviews
"Absolutley terrible. I drove in to drop off my donation only to get "sho-off" by one of their team members. He was a white male with short blond hair, wearing glasses. You should consider getting new help....just dispicable."
"I hope this review is for the Goodwin on N Lamar in Austin. I’ve been to this particular one 6 times in the last two weeks as I’m moving. The last two trips were so disappointing in how my donations were handled. One was a ceramic nativity set. I watched the guy just dump the set without caring whether it broke or not. Three days later I went to drop some things off and they were all breakables. I watched them just turn the container upside down and you heard the glass breaking as it went in. He just dumped them into a cardboard box. He also knew I was watching. I will never again donate anything to goodwill again!"
"My husband has to come with me when I drop things off and when I shop, because otherwise the men working there hit on me. I had one tell me I was too pretty to be single (I’m not single?), and just this week while checking out, the man asked me to say “Krishna” and thanked me when I did (I wish I’d told him to just ring me up) then went on to compliment my tattoos. I’m betting he doesn’t do that to men. Please have a discussion with your workers about appropriate behavior with customers."
"I feel like this Goodwill ripped me off. I was shopping yesterday with my young daughter. The sign says white tags 50 % off. I found a kids shark costume with a white tag. After I paid I realized they didn't discount it and they said because Halloween items don't count. There is no sign on the sign that says there are exclusions. They manager said they can only refund me but on a gift card. She was uncaring how it's misleading. She said they were supposed to remove all the Halloween stuff but missed that one. I won't shop hear again."
"My husband and I wanted to donate my kids old bed. They refused to take nice wood bed that my kids out grew. It had to be assembled in order for them to take it the manager said. So we would have had to put it together then they would have taken it the manager said. They length of this bed is almost 10 feet long with the attached drawers. It weights almost 500lbs together because it’s a wood bed. This bed put together takes 5+people to carry it and move it without breaking it. Then the manager then said they don’t have room to take it after we started to put it together and refused to help load it back up. Not right and not fair since this bed was being donated for free when the original price of this wooden bed was almost $5000.00 This bed is in great condition for being 10 years old and they flat out refused."
