"The Mayan was really nice, the only compliant I have is the that the seats definitely need a remodel, it was gross to sit on seats that have the leather completely worn off on it. It honestly looked like leather fungus, go ahead and google images. It was my first time going to the Mayan. I normally go to the Palladium theater, Northwest 14, or Silverado 16 (but it has been closed, it just now opened today due to the remodel). I was actually really surprised how well kept the Mayan is and how clean it is. I don't live on this side of town, but I wanted to see Lisa Frankenstein again so we booked the last showing that was playing in town. But I as soon I walked into the theater and saw the seats my immediate reaction was "ew." Update: The Mayan is due to go into a remodel soon but covid did postpone the project hopefully the can give a timeframe for the the remodel."

"Things are really changing, seems that almost everywhere I go there's hardly people working behind the scenes. Everything has become self serve. Hadn't been to this theater in a while, I was unpleasantly surprised that you now stand in front of a machine to get your own tickets. You pay for food and beverage and they give you the containers to serve yourself, wow! I'm not a big fan of this, I don't appreciate paying to serve myself, put the people back to work, I'm sure they need a job, so sad."

"Place is more of a self-serve which is pretty good. Looks like it helps with wait time for concession stands. However it's a digital pay only. No cash.. staff is friendly overall very clean. Just beware of parking lot. Would not recommend this place for a late show. Maybe if they would have patrols/ security for the parking lot would make a huge difference. 1 star due to safety. My coworkers before going informed me of shootings stabbings and car jacking at gun point there. That is very unfortunate. Because it's a really nice place."
