La Petite Academy on Eckhert Road

"My boys have been coming to La Petite for a few months now. There’s a huge difference from this daycare to the daycare they attended previously. Having come from a background in childcare, I feel it’s important as a parent to observe how your child responds to a new environment. How do the teachers receive them in the morning? How do the teachers interact with each child individually (as every child has different needs). My boys love attending this La Petite. They feel loved and cared for by Ms. Wanda and her staff. I couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you!"

"Beware of this daycare . I just took my one year old out of here due to neglect and abuse by another child they never cared about. My son was constantly getting hit and would bite the other child to defend himself but they would only see what my child did not what caused it. The other child was bigger than my son so he did that to defend himself. My son “fell” and hit a shoe and has a bruise on his nose and was bleeding but I never got a phone call but they would call me if he bit. Their story didn’t add up with blood in the back of my 1 year olds shirt instead of the front. Wanda and Janice the directors/assistant would tell me I needed to spank my son and “you know what to do” when he would bite DEFENDING himself . I do not spank my child at all. We were expressing concerns to Wanda the head director and she said I don’t want to talk anymore. I have caught teachers on their Apple Watch instead of watching the children and my son getting bullied all while she’s on her watch. My son bit the child on his face to defend himself and got sent home, that child who bullies my son did the same to another child and they let him stay at daycare. This daycare has so much favoritism and out of control. There are kids running all over the place and no teacher to say anything. My son used to learn with the amazing teacher they had Ms.Olga. When she was there my son never bit because she was attentive and always watching them and did throng with them. She left and it all went down him for us and others. I was told they would be separated but they would sit my son and his bully TOGETHER! A teacher, Ms.jewels saw my son and his bully fighting and did not stop it she saw my son going in for a bite and said she couldn’t get to him fast enough when Wanda said she was sitting next to him. The people in this daycare do not care about your children they care about the money you bring. Comparing my son’s pictures that they would send and his new daycare just the day he went my son was not happy there at all. He went to a new daycare for a day and he was all smiles and didn’t even cry for me, his last daycare, this one, he would cry in the mornings most times. Every morning when I’d drop him off, his bully would run up on him and they would say nothing so I constantly had to tell that child noooo move over and my son would cry because of him. Wanda and Janice wouldn’t care about anything except complain about my child. I’ve seen kids hit teachers and nothing happen to them but to my child. Wanda and Janice would never listen to me, but listen to the other parent only. They sent my son home saying he needed a “break” and a “day off” what does a 1 year old know about that , I was losing money because they didn’t want to deal with my child. Beware of this daycare if you love your children, they don’t love your kids or care for them, they love your money. If I could give zero stars I would"

"My daughter early preschool teacher Lisa is wonderful. She loves going to daycare and seeing her teacher. I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter at la petite. She keeps them entertained playing all day. (:"

"Wanda scheduled a tour with me, I drove 20 minutes to the school for the tour just for her to act like she had no clue who I was and told me to come back in 30 minutes when she wasn’t busy. Which I did because I really wanted my son to attend, and I was in a rush to find a school. I let her know I had about a week in a half to get him into a school and she told me that she was waiting for a new teacher to start in a couple days and told me that he can definitely start before that week and a half was up, and she let me know she would call me as soon as the teacher was settled. So I waited almost a week for her to call with nothing so I proceeded to call them and got no answer, I called over and over for a few days and got no answer, like I was purposefully being ignored. Then a month later they want to call me and ask if I still needed child care. Stay away from this school. Countless bad reviews about Wanda and she somehow still works there. A joke!"

"Went in for a tour and I liked the baby teachers however the after schoolers were just walking around doing anything the after school teacher was just leaning back she didn’t seem to care that they were around the corners ect, just doing as they pleased. also we looked outside and a teacher with a class of smaller kids (2s or 3s) was yanking kids by their arms! She was a black lady with dreads! Inappropriate! If those were any of my kids I would definitely drag her around that playground for playing with mine! The restrooms are jail style ! A bunch of toilets next to each other! Idk about other peoples kids but I teach my kids about their privacy having other kids next to them while they’re going to the bathroom is definitely a NO! Wouldn’t recommend!! Then the director has the nerve to keep calling me to follow up it’s a HELL to the NO for Me!"
