"Our daughter has been coming here since she was 4 months old and they have been so accommodating to her needs. We like that we can see her on the cameras at any point of the day and that we get updates/ pics of her day and activities. The daycare has been improving and getting updates since the new Director Mrs. Malu has been at this location."
"I've waited a while to leave my review. When my 3 yo first started coming here it was bittersweet. You could tell things were chaotic and that the staff was operating under their own individual standards of care. There was an official there to evaluate the campus when we first arrived and she did not seem happy. Still, the classroom my child was in was decent, he had a great teacher, was learning a lot and making friends. This was enough to make us continue to give them a chance. Unfortunately the negative experiences kept piling up. As parents our gut reaction is to pull our kids from the center and find a new one. That presented several challenges for us to the point that we instead tried to work with the daycare, voice our complaints and follow up as needed. A new director, Malu, was brought on and seems to have a strong desire to see this campus improve. Over time and with a lot of back and forth and excuses, there has been a positive and lasting change that began with the removal of apathetic and out of touch staff. The center is much more clean, open and bright. When the teachers are directing kids it is firm but not harsh or even too loud. There seems to be more of a curriculum and less time spent watching TV. The atmosphere is more harmonious and the former sense of chaos is gone. There are more updates on the app and it looks like they may finally be taking the camera issue seriously. So I'm giving 3 stars for now and will continue to watch my child at this center like a hawk and update as needed. Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Anna and Ms. Lisa are mostly in charge of my son throughout the day now and overall I am satisfied with the care they provide. If I had it my way, Ms Anna would be his only teacher but I understand the need to rotate."
"If you've heard about the mossrock kindercare, this place is honestly WORSE If you want your child to get verbally abused or need therapy when they're older, choose this place On another note, this place is extremely cramped especially the toddler room. It's impossible to follow guidelines for the toddler room during Naptime (where the cots have to be a certain amount of space away from each other) because the room is WAY too small for the amount of kids they put in that class. Teachers here are also just set up to fail. They had a teacher go way off of ratio on her FIRST day (sixteen children to one teacher which also does not follow guidelines) without bothering to check if she is capable of handling it or even if she's CPR certified. They also move up kids that aren't ready to be moved up. For example, they moved up multiple children that still use diapers into one of the rooms that doesn't have a diaper changing table and they expect teachers to change diapers over a toilet. This kind of expectation already makes the burden they put on teachers that much bigger and a constantly frustrated teacher is an easy recipe for bad things to happen. Lastly, the teachers gossip horribly. They gossip about each other, about the parents, and especially about the kids IN FRONT of the kids. The way they talk isn't too far from just straight up bullying. I've heard them call children and other adults different curse words and SLURS. DO NOT send your kid here. They are not equipped, not capable, and are not kind. Expect behavioral issues and very delayed developmental milestones."
"I am giving La Petite Academy a One star rating. My experience with this facility was horrible. I enrolled my daughter and the first week she got strep throat. The doctor stated it was due to bacteria and germs. I get it that children are at risk in getting sick but the first week. I was informed by my oldest daughter that my daughter was laying on the floor without a mat only a blanket. The floor is filled with germs and everyone walks on the floor. Also, when I took my daughter to use the restroom the toilet was dirty with fecies and urine stains. All this occurred during a 2 week period. The assistant upfront stated I will make a note about cleaning the restroom. I said to my self there should not be a note it should be done every day. They only positive review I will state is Ms. Julie was an exceptionally teacher to my daughter. I hope this center reads my review and make the changes needed moving forward."
"I don't understand the bad ratings. I enrolled my 20month old recently. The Director Ms. Kari was really helpful, she gave me a tour and introduced me to the teachers. She's always smiling, and amazing with the kids at la petite. I love Ms. Rosie at the front desk, she's the sweetest person. Always greets us with a friendly smile. I also love the fact that the teachers are able to communicate with the parents throughout the day, through the brightweel app. They'll send pictures of your little ones and let you know what they have for breakfast or lunch. They'll also update you on how many wet diapers your little one had. I like that they have cameras in each classroom, and the open door policy. I can just stop by whenever I feel like it and check on my little one. They just got all new furniture and toys. The facility is clean. So far I'm really pleased with the facility and the staff."
