"Let's see! We used to visit Mecca market 3 to 4 times a year, recently, I noticed that they start selling Israeli products which are illegally produced via Israel illegal settlements! They seem have new owner or so.. Nothing justifies this. They promised to get rid of the Israeli products and to stop that. If they will not do that, we will add them to the Boycott list. They have been a good shop, I hope they stay good"

"BEWARE: This store sells rotten, decomposed meat products even if they are not past the expiry date. This problem has been reported by many reviewers in the past, and it seems that the store is dwelling on it regardless. I called the store to inform them that they sold rotten products, they were defiant and rude, claiming it was my fault. The decomposition of the product was beyond imagination, whereas the "customer service" was truly uncivilized and unprofessional. It is funny that the store responded to a similar previous problem by suggesting that "the customer stops by the store to resolve the problem". I found the following review similar to what I intended to post here. “The worst grocery store in Houston; very rude owner/ manager, has no respect for customers, refuses to return any purchased items no matter what the reason is". No surprise though, that when I shopped yesterday, the store was empty of any other customers."

"High quality ingredients for my Mediterranean dishes are found here. Also, if you need the freshest, unfiltered olive oil, do not think twice, this is the place to get it. The store is well organized and clean. The halal meat is always fresh. The delicious bread is baked daily here. The owners and employees receive us with a friendly smile and are always available to answer our questions. Way to go Mecca Halal!!!!"

"The best place to get a leg of lamb. The price is reasonable and they stay open until 10 pm. I have tried other places, but this small hole in the wall grocery put the others to shame. Now if only everyone spoke English... After reviewing the selection I must deduct one star from the initial review. The butcher and his coworker were not wearing a mask or face covering. On my next visit, I will speak on that subject matter."
