"Went there and again saved on prices. Better quality on produce, mushrooms, avocados, butternut squash, cereal, jello, & meat. Store is clean & well organized, clerk was very nice. Being disabled, she helped me sack, my groceries."
"I used to enjoy because of the lower prices. Now it's gotten to be nothing but a headache going into the place.Nothing but wall to wall workers with pallets and crates in the way of the shoppers. It's worth going to somewhere like Randall's or Kroger pain a little more and being able to get in and out of the store."
"This is my new favorite store to buy groceries. They have very reasonable prices and the line may look long but it goes fairly quickly. And they have all of their registers open if needed. I will continue to shop there"
"The clouds hung heavy in the Houston sky, casting a gray gloom over even the most vibrant of Saturdays. But as I walked into Joe V's Smart Shop on Northwest Freeway, a wave of warmth and sunshine greeted me. It wasn't just the bright lights and colorful displays; it was the energy, the buzz of happy shoppers, and the friendly faces of the staff. My first stop, the produce section, was an explosion of freshness. An abundance tomatoes that gleamed like jewels, the rainbow of bell peppers, and plump heads of broccoli and exotic fruits like guavas as big as apples. Next, the meat counter. This wasn't your average supermarket display. Here, marbled beef steaks and pork chops lined up ready to be grilled to juicy perfection. But the real stars of the show were the people. Every staff member I encountered, from the cashier with a twinkle in her eye to the stocker who helped me find the elusive jar of pickled okra, exuded genuine warmth and helpfulness. They weren't just there to do a job; they were there to make your grocery experience pleasant, even on a cloudy Saturday. Sure, the store bustled with weekend shoppers, but it wasn't overwhelming. There was a happy camaraderie, a shared sense of discovery as we all unearthed treasures on the shelves. By the time I checked out, my basket overflowed with goodness, and my heart brimmed with an unexpected joy. Joe V's Smart Shop wasn't just a grocery store; it was a portal to a brighter Saturday. It was a reminder that even under gray skies, a little human connection, a touch of quality, and a whole lot of fresh produce can turn the most ordinary errand into an extraordinary experience. So, if you find yourself on Northwest Freeway on a cloudy day, don't let the weather fool you. Head inside Joe V's, and let the sunshine surprise you. Just go early on weekends β you wouldn't want to miss out on the fun!"
"Wasn't bad but I'd recommend going right as soon as they open. The aisles are small or not well spaced out. Just be aware that you'll either be walking through the lanes especially in the vegetable, meat department without your cart. Other than that prices aren't bad and they do have a lot to choose from."
