Reviews
"People tend to write about their negative experiences more than the good. So I am here to give credit to this business for their Egusi soup, but I have a bit of constructive criticism that I hope this business is open to hear me out on, and make a few changes. -Customer service: I called and was not greeted. This is essential for any business, and gives off the impression of professionalism. I was put on hold for a while (10 minutes), and could hear background noise as I waited, before being hung up on. -Food: The goat meat was unchewable, and the fufu was of a slimy consistency. With these changes, this business will do great. I will continue to show support, unless these issues persist. Thank you. EDIT: I am changing my review from 3 to 4 stars. Mr. Olu called me within minutes of being hung up on (he was not the person that originally answered the phone). His customer service was great. He offered to replace the food and have it delivered to me (I ordered off of DoorDash). I will give another update on how the food is. Update:Mr Olu stayed true to his word and had a remade of the Egusi soup delivered to me. It was ten times better than the first soup. I am so glad I gave this business another chance. They just earned a consistent customer. Thank you Mr. Olu!"
"It would be great for them to put prices on what they are selling. Friendly staff service was above and beyond."
"Very good food & interesting choices and variety"
"I went to 3 different African food markets. I did not purchase from either of the first two because the store worker either had a bad attitude or was trying to hassle me to get higher prices for the items I wanted. I did a Google search and found African Food Embassy. It was nearby so I decided to give it a try. I felt comfortable and made my purchase there. The gentleman was kind, polite, and courteous. There was no hassling. The store was clean, well-organized, and they had the exact items I needed. This was my first visit and I definitely plan to go back. Thank you African Food Embassy for being professional and having great service & products. I am relieved!"
"They have a lot of good basics that you need such as garri and chim-chim. The man who runs the place was very nice so I will will making this place a regular for grocery stores that I go too."
