Best Western Sugarland Inn

"I booked a room here at the Best Western in Sugar Land for a function the following day in Rosenberg. I'm really happy that the closer rooms were all booked because I think I came out the winner here! Upon arrival I checked in at the front desk and was greeted by one of the most friendly people at the front desk! Hey name was Toyah and she was probably the most outgoing person I've ever encountered upon check in anywhere!!! She was just as sweet and friendly as she could be and was very helpful and informative! She got my info, and gave me my room card and gave directions to the elevator. She also informed me that breakfast was served starting at 6:00am! I gathered my items and headed for the elevator to the 3rd floor. Upon entering, I found the room very spacious and well laid out! Two queen beds, although it was only me, I was able to lay all my things out on the other bed. There was a place to hang your clothes and also an iron if you needed one. The bath was spacious with a nice counter and a hair dryer on the wall close to the light switches. There was a room size refrigerator and freezer in the top for your food and drinks. There was a cabinet built around and over the refrigerator with a nice little Keurig Coffee maker and four Keurig coffee cups of Breakfast Blend for your use!!! I loved that part! If I had known about the Keurig I would have brought my own! The TV was located so as you could turn it toward either bed and had DirecTv with most channels! Since moving to East Texas I've always missed 13 Eyewitness News Weather and I was able to see the evening and morning news cast!! I loved it!! Beaumont stations for whatever reason don't have morning news on weekends and I really miss being able to watch the news in the morning on weekends. The beds were very nice with plenty of pillows! It was also very quiet here and I slept really great which is something I normally struggle with away from home. I didn't here!!! I woke up once or twice and had the feeling I had been asleep for a long time! It was nice to look at the time and realize I had three more hours of sleep, and sleep I did!! When I did get up, I was able to get my shower, get dressed and go down just in time for the breakfast area to start serving! They had a great selection to choose from, so I got just enough to get me by until lunch later! I went back up and got my things together and dropped my card in the box on the way out! I really enjoyed my stay here and will more than likely opt to stay here next time I'm in the area!"

"Overall the stay was OK. Room, lobby & elevators are clean. Nice breakfast options. We had issues with our toilet backing up beginning day one of our stay. Front desk offered us a plunger. On day 2, after calling the front desk twice, they sent maintenance and he snaked the toilet. That same afternoon, when we returned to our room, the toilet wouldn’t flush and was backing up with water. We called the front desk and again they offered us a plunger. After that failed to work we called again and asked what our options were as we were told the maintenance man was gone for the day (3:45pm) We were then offered another room. The new room was clean, but couldn’t get the hot water to work that evening in the shower when we tried around 10pm. Hot water worked the next morning."

"TL:DR - People are nice! Breakfast hours are odd... showers are hot. Bed is decent (7/10). Pillows average (5/10). Floor in room, very dirty. Like, I don't they have ever been cleaned. There were so many sticky spots from unknown fluids (I assume/hope from syrup, gum, jelly..) that we almost couldn't avoid stepping on them in our room. Otherwise, a good stay for the money."

"First impression was the lobby, which was clean, neat, and nicely decorated with cozy waiting areas. Complementary water and coffee available. They had a snack and medicine kiosk area which was a nice plus. Very sweet and welcoming staff! Room was immaculate. There’s a coffee machine, microwave, and nice sized mini fridge/freezer. Shockingly comfy and fluffy pillows that I’ve never seen at any hotel! Unfortunately, we missed breakfast both days so I have no input for that.. The best part of our experience was that I’d accidentally left my Pandora necklace and 5 minutes after we left, we received a phone call saying they found it along with some earrings I left near the sink! You don’t often find such a lovely and honest staff! We had a very nice stay here and highly recommend."

"I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my stay at the Best Western... It was newly remodeled... My room was very cozy... The hotel staff, particularly, the beautiful woman who assisted me the evening I checked in, was AWESOME!. I didn't get to benefit from the free breakfast in the morning, as I had to be out and on my way to class.. However, there were a PLETHORA of great options! Definitely a positive! They are in a great location.. Near stores, restaurants and the freeways...I would definitely recommend staying here.. As I would definitely come back here when I'm on town!"
