"I really like our zoo, I haven’t been to many ( aside from Dallas Zoo) however you can tell they clearly take lots of pride in their animals & establishment. Exhibits are all well maintained and seem natural in animals habitat. Animals are not always out & about though so sometimes it is a hit & miss but the upside is there are so many beautiful exhibits to visit, you don’t feel as you are missing out. Today what stuck out was the butterfly experience , swimming capybaras, quaint but beautiful marine life aquarium, jaguar & impressive bird exhibits. Park is clean, natural foliage everywhere & I see lots of staff on hand. People complain about price and yes it is a little pricey as far as tickets, photos, waters, but you know where your money is going. Crowd is a little sketch :/ Carousel ride is always a favorite. I love this place just as much as the kiddos. Wear comfy shoes, bring plenty of water & indulge in some animal life."
"We really enjoyed this zoo. Lots to see and do! Be prepared to pay extra to do the excursions around the zoo. Prices weren’t to bad but definitely add up quickly. The kangaroo exhibit was the best! And we loved seeing flamingos around the zoo."
"It is a nice zoo but they charge you full price plus $5 fee for tickets but a lot of exhibits are empty or under construction. Lots of places ran out of bottled water so make sure to take water with you. Some of the exhibits seem way too small for that specific animal. The butterfly exhibit was cool ($4 per person ). The kangaroo crossing only had one kangaroo available to pet ($8 per person ) the other ones were there, however you could not have access to them. This zoo seems to have more species of birds than other types species in the zoo. I'm not going to lie I'm disappointed in this visit."
"I’d rate this a 4.25 if it wasn’t for QR ticket system. Overall I had a great experience. They are currently doing a lot of minor reconstruction inside the park. There are a few spots inside the park you have to pay separately to enter. I was very impressed there was minimal foot traffic on a busy day. I’m not a zoologist but the animals seemed to be well kept and well fed. The park does a great job utilizing their authorized space to house these wonderful creatures. The ticket QR code purchasing process is pathetic, creates random clusters of crowds blocking the gates, and takes more time. In no way is this system more convenient for the majority of people. FUN FACT!! The zoo charges you $5 for a mandatory “convenience” fee at checkout. If you work for the zoo and you’re reading this, please go back to selling tickets the old way or utilize both ways so you customers have options. If the zoo is charging a $5 fee because the business genuinely needs to, I get it. Just factor that into the cost of advertised admission instead of adding it at checkout last second."
"It is a nice zoo. They are currently doing maintenance, so some exhibits are closed or relocated, and some of the paths on the map are closed. We got a little frustrated at the missing paths as we were trying to hit our favorite animals as we neared the end of our visit. The butterfly habitat ($4) is lovely room. You can see the chrysalis from which the butterflies hatch. The variety is amazing. Kangaroo petting ($8) is a more unique experience for zoo goers. I have been to a lot of zoos and this was new to me."
