"The lake is nice, and there is a lot of bird life. According to the sign houses can not be ridden in the park, which I feel is a travesty. Horseback riding should be legal throughout all of Texas, so long as there is no inherent danger to horse or rider, such a quicksand. Also, there is a lot of air traffic here, from the air force base across the lake. Some will call it the Sound of Freedom, and others will not, so you decide."
"Great park for kids and families. Just wish there weren't always broken beer bottles and bottle caps all over. We always have to walk the area to see where potential hazards are before the kids play."

"This is a lovely park it's a great place to go take a dip to beat the Texas heat. However the problem is that there is so much trash everywhere. People come and have picnics at the picnic tables and somehow neglect to put things in the trash bins that are being provided They just leave all their styrofoam and plastic garbage trash fast food junk on the ground and it's very difficult with walking the dogs because they try to eat all the garbage on the ground. Aside from that it's very unsightly and unnecessary for everyone to just throw their trash on the ground and it would be a much nicer place if people would simply clean up after themselves."
