"Nice big rooms and good service. They actually do give upgrades, which i find rare. Place is clean and was quiet when I was there. I will stay again. The only negative comment I could make is their restaurant service and food was bad but I will rate separate as it's a different business."

"Really well appointed and spotlessly clean. Very well located on Gulf beach. The bed in our room, however, had a worn-out mattress. Bowling balls on bed would have rolled into center. Considering that the principle reason one books a hotel room is to sleep, that's a big problem."

"What a lovely hotel here at south Padre. The room is very spacious even for a big group like we had and the pool is lovely. Audrey's communication skills were exceptional, providing clear and concise information throughout our conversation. We did have one issue with our room but she made me feel heard and understood, she even took the initiative to follow up, ensuring that everything was resolved with my room."

"Amazing location, great Bar and restaurant. Awesome pool for the kids and private beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue on a full night could be parking, they have enough but rollover parking across the street. My wife and I had a blast. For less crowds, come in February."

"This place was outstanding! I went through, and I looked at previous reviews. Some of them were negative and based on some maintenance issues. You can’t control that. So I would ignore that if you’re considering a stay. From a time we walked into the time we walked out it was the most amazing place we have stayed. We were there during a lower tourist season. January isn’t the most popular. So it’s perfect for staying. If you don’t like the big crowds. Full disclosure, we are titanium elite members. We were given an upgraded room and we asked for a beach view. Ever since we switched over from Holiday Inn to Marriott Bonvoy, we have been over the moon satisfied. This hotel is by far the nicest hotel we have stayed in the US. We are retired military members and have traveled a lot. Some of it is for work, some of it is for pleasure. The room felt like we were in a resort. The accommodations at the hotel felt like you were in a resort. Bar Louie did not disappoint. It’s a great atmosphere. We had a beautiful view of the gulf and the amazingly huge pool! I would love to stay here for a week. But we were only here overnight. The staff was outstanding. Everyone to include the cleaning staff was very friendly. They were smiling, they were helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I will come back."
