"Great barber shop. I love the app to sign up for a haircut. Everyone at this location is great. You can’t go wrong with any of the barbers. They do a wonderful job."
"Really want to like this place but their scheduling system is incredibly flawed and not efficient whatsoever. This system states when there’s no wait time for a “first available” barber and when you place yourself in Que, you are at the mercy of the barbers who are “available” and what they feel like doing. You can be “next in Que”, but if the barber feels like taking a break, going for lunch, etc (which btw I’m all for individuals taking whatever breaks they need to take), they can leave you “next in line” for a VERY long time and that is where I take issue with this system. Last week I waited “next in line” for 32 minutes before leaving (I took my lunch break to get my hair cut and couldn’t commit to another 30+ minutes or unknown amount of time it’ll be before even being seen), and then today I am sitting here within the shop, 33 minutes and counting while “next in line”. It’d be different also, should said breaks or lunch be mentioned prior to a barber looking at the que, glancing at you, looking back at the computer and then just leaving without notice or anything. No hello, someone will be with you shortly or apologies on the wait, you will have to wait a tad longer…no communication whatsoever. There’s not any indication or warning of any time needed to be anticipated, which I also find annoying. Then also, with not having any scheduling structure in place, two of the only four barbers currently here decided to take their lunch at the same time, with the third taking an extended break. Again, I don’t mind breaks and lunches, just PLEASE let us know something. Allow us to make a decision on how long we can wait or not and not sit there anticipating a return or not, as you walk to the back without even a greeting. At first I loved the way this system worked, but as of lately the last two times have been incredibly inconsistent, an inconvenience or wrong. Some customers don’t have 30+ minutes to wait AFTER their proposed timeline given to be there on site. I’m sure many don’t. I’ve heard many of the barbers at one time or another complain about customers not being here on time for their Que, but I would assume this is a big reason why. There’s no structure and the ecxpectations, or lack of, are all over the place. *and this isn’t a bash, this is a hopeful realization that they are working on a flawed system and also, maybe just maybe, some basic customer service can be better as well. Edit: I am increasing the stars because Dani finally took me immediately after her last cut and without hesitation and she was absolutely amazing and such a great person and the cut is fantastic! Her alone, has changed my outlook and it was appreciated."
"I had tried this place out as a first time client because it had so many amazing reviews. I told myself, “This place of all places gives the best haircuts.” That’s not true. I asked for a “wolfcut”, a type of cut that’s a mix of a shag haircut and a mullet, and he decided to make me live the 80s. I left the salon because I didn’t want to be that person who made the stylist, the person who knows more about cutting hair than I do, redo my hair, but I had to go back, it looked horrid. He even insisted in arguing with me that the style was a full mullet. My hair was cut so short that I refuse to go outside without a hoodie. He fixed the back so that instead of a mullet it’s more of a buzz, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that I have little to no hair anymore. Hair can grow back, I just wish my first time at a men’s barbershop was better. I’ll attach the reference photo and my front and side."
"Cuts are good but service is spotty. Was first in queue, entered building at 9:01 and had lost my spot. They really act like they’re doing you a favor - service is at their convenience- didn’t have phone in your hand to jump in queue at 8:00? Screw you. Weren’t outside as soon as they decided to open the door? Screw you. You have to work really hard to get your cut here"
"The OG in Louisville - where real barbers can help you look fresh. Great talent @ every chair, fun atmosphere. I always go around lunch for a cut, then walk to Monnik for lunch & a brew across the street."
